Overall Satisfaction with Watchguard Endpoint Security

At my mid sized Manufacturing and development company we have been using Watchguard Endpoint Security for close to a year. The Watchguard cloud dashboard makes it extremely easy to manage. From the Monitor tab I am able to easily see a snapshot of my security posture. Devices are listed in a clear manner that displays all the information that is needed.
Installation of the endpoint protection was a worry to start but after setting up initial polices it proved to be really easy. By setting a network scan device I was able to see all my devices and just use their tools to remotely install the protection. It also uninstalled our previous endpoint software.

Pros

  • Ease of Installation
  • Quickness of addressing false positives
  • Accuracy in detection

Cons

  • Easier way to install on fedora based OS's (centos in my case)
  • Easier implementation of the SEIM feeder.
  • Ability for user to respond when a legit program is flagged as a false positive.
  • We have saved close to $1000 a year from our previous EPDR (Cylance)
Qualia Computers NJ LLC service was perfect!
I only use the Endpoint Protection but we are looking into implementing the firewalls and access points in the future
Just using the EPDR on its own we were able to free up capital to upgrade many of our IT devices.
Watchguard is simply easier to implement than even Defender. The cost to value ratio is high as Watchguard subscription is cheaper than many other options.

Do you think Watchguard Endpoint Security delivers good value for the price?

Yes

Are you happy with Watchguard Endpoint Security's feature set?

Yes

Did Watchguard Endpoint Security live up to sales and marketing promises?

Yes

Did implementation of Watchguard Endpoint Security go as expected?

Yes

Would you buy Watchguard Endpoint Security again?

Yes

Watchguard Endpoint Security is perfect for the Internal IT Team. After my company was dropped by our MSP we were scrambling to find an easy and affordable but powerful EPDR tool to replace the one that would be going out of subscription. Watchguard met our compliance requirements and also worked on our older machines.

Using Watchguard Endpoint Security

105 - Each department at the company utilizes WatchGuard as its endpoint security solution to protect against cyber threats and maintain system integrity. This includes departments such as Sales, IT, Soldering, Testing, Shipping, Processing, Marketing, C-Suite executives and administrative teams, Human Resources (HR), Quality Assurance (QA), and Building Maintenance staff. Every team relies on this robust security measure to safeguard sensitive data and ensure uninterrupted operations across all areas of the organization.
3 - With a small team of 3, 1 full time and 2 part-time. We are able to support Watch guard Endpoint Security with varied levels of skills. 1 part-time is in-house taught and had only basic skills before. They were able to learn watch guard endpoint security pretty quickly and join the team as a valued and important member.
  • Endpoint Security
  • Endpoint Detection
  • Endpoint Response
  • Use on phones
  • Easy renewal process
  • Integration with their firewall solution
  • Threatsync feature
  • Network detection and response
  • Multi factor authentication
Watchguard has a simple to understand GUI and installation process. It has integrated itself into our IT environment and is important to our day to day operations and security posture. It is easy to scale with the growth of the business. As a modern company needs a strong EPDR watchguard is a very good choice.

Evaluating Watchguard Endpoint Security and Competitors

Yes - Watchguard Endpoint Security replaced Blackberry's, and soon after the deal is finished, Artic Wolf's Cylance. Though Cylance was powerful it proved to cumbersome for an environment with engineers and Research and Development. As the quick, developing environment they present was hindered by the overly cautious default settings of Cylance it became a battle to find the right balance of security and usability.
  • Scalability
  • Integration with Other Systems
  • Ease of Use
As a small team Ease of Use was the single most important factor in our company's decision. The ease of use for Watchguard Endpoint Security allowed our lowest skilled part time tech learn how to install and administer it in no time flat. It was a good investment for our environment.
If needed, in the future when evaluating a security product such as Watchguard Endpoint Security I would want more robust demonstrations. I would like to see how each security product works in different environments with different types of users. From power users who need access to software to the users who can barely move a mouse.
