Overall Satisfaction

  • I used Webtrends to create various landing page and order form tests and felt pretty confident that the results I was getting were valid and projectable.
  • It's far more difficult to set up tests than, say, Optimizely, which makes one less inclined to use it for random, off-the-wall tests.
  • It's definitely worth the money. I'm not at liberty to give ROI, even anonymously, but I can definitively say that it was money well spent. I just think there are other systems that are money better spent.
In the interim, I've tried other solutions and find that Optimizely does what I need better.
As high as our hopes were, it was just an OK experience. Have gotten much better results with Optimizely in the time since.

Product Usage

4 - Marketing and IT
  • It was used to optimize an order form and home page.

Evaluation and Selection

Omniture: extreme feature set and integration with business intelligence and other systems. The problem was price. I was never able to convince management that the price tag was justified.

Implementation

Implementation was pretty straightforward

Training

Online training was ok. Because every test is a custom test, there's only so much that can be covered in a generic lesson.

Support

no complaints.
Yes - A 1% improvement is worth hundreds of thousands or even millions of dollars. Cheaping out and not getting premium support is pennywise and pound foolish.

Usability

The process of setting tests is just too clunky and counter-intuitive.

Reliability

zero complaints. I'm not aware of it ever failing.
Zero complaints. It seemed to do its job quickly and accurately.

Integration

  • It's integrated with our CMS
Integration was a bit spotty in places. I understand that it's gotten better.
  • Business Intelligence
Yes, but our then-obsolete package was not well supported.

Vendor Relationship

They were fine. Nothing extraordinary.
Not at liberty to discuss terms.
