Overall Satisfaction with Workday Workforce Management

We use Workday to run many of our HR functions within our company from payroll to employee training to benefit management. Workday allows us to create and send out tasks for employees to complete without holding their hand through the entire process. We can send out tasks such as completing open enrollment without much intervention from the HR staff.

Pros

  • Setting up training for our employees
  • Completing open enrollment for our employees
  • Managing payroll and time sheets for employees

Cons

  • The cost is a bit more that some of the compeditors
  • The interface is a bit outdated and can be cumbersome at times
  • When a user is assigned training you have to go to the training tab instead of it just showing in the task section
  • Less time going through open enrollment
  • Easy to setup and push out yearly training
  • Easy to manage employee time sheets
The UI is a bit outdated and could be a bit more streamlined. There are a lot of clicks for a few items like updating employee information. The training section could be more integrated into the tasks section so users can see they have training right from their home screen.

Workday is way more feature rich and has more connections to other products and make it a more complete HR and payroll product.

If you are looking for an HR software to help manage payroll and time sheets for employees this works well. it also makes Open enrollment much easier and pushing out employee training tasks is nice to keep track of who needs to complete the training.
