Overall Satisfaction with Brightmine

I use Brightmine on a frequent basis to support decision making in my role. The system is extremely user friendly and offers great content. The aspect of the site and resources that I find most beneficial is the legal advice, which is turned around very quickly and professionally despite the legal team not having full insight into our organisation. I also find a lot of value in the updates that are frequently sent out, as well as the webinars that are very topical. I really enjoy the site functionality and find it useful when needing sound advice.

Cons

  • Could be more direct with some of the answers from the legal time, more black and white possibly
  • The site gives a broader view on topics
  • The tool is non bias and therefore gives the best advice without the knowledge of individuals
  • Multiple team members have access to the site under a group licence and therefore this saves time waiting for opinions across the teams
We all get the same answer when using the site and this takes out any bias. I have been able to guide and support Managers with facts from a reliable source. Knowing that you have checked a decision that could be made gives confidence in the approach that you are taking.
Brightmine give advice ahead of time, for example I have attended webinars on employment law changes that are approaching. They also put on more fun webinars from time to time which act as a good refresher/reminder. If we are unsure of a topic and need advice, a quick search and the answer is there!

For HR Professionals the tool is a must. Sometimes it is good to just sense check your knowledge and keep up to date with case law. I recently watched a webinar which allowed me to update my internal customers on employment law changes. The legal responses that I receive are very quick which works well when we are working at pace.
