Overall Satisfaction with Yellowfin

For Standard sales reporting that used to take up to two or three months to produce. When we adopted Yellowfin, we created the same reports in minutes. Yellowfin dashboards focused on revenue by segments and product clients help us make decisions around where to deploy our sales force

Pros

  • row-level security, meaning teams only see data they have permission to view.
  • user friendly interface which makes it easy for us to navigate and explore data effortlessly.
  • Dashboard making is effortless and allows you to view all data in real-time. It also allows multiple data sources to connect

Cons

  • Some reports are difficult to produce, it lags and hangs sometimes. Otherwise all features are good in this tool.
  • Integration with third-party tools is missing
  • The support team response is not proactive
  • made our org more data centric
  • Decisions are made based on data vs opinion
  • has created a single source of truth for the bulk of the organization
Yellowfin is very powerful analytics platform. Helps users to find real-time answers and turn insights into action. The tool has been an invaluable asset in transforming raw data into meaningful insights which has led to improved business performance and operational efficiency.

well suited for Visual stories through analytics and creating actionable insights.
not so wee suited when you have to work with large data sets. the tool hangs and freezes in such scenarios
