Overall Satisfaction with Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins

I run a small business in my town providing in-home computer lessons and technology support. I created my website using WordPress and I am not an SEO expert by any means. Yoast has been extremely helpful in helping me strategically write content, and organize URLs, headers, etc. to ensure I am visible in organic search results and it has paid off immensely.
  • Keyphrases are powerful so I can determine the main purpose of a page or post, and Yoast helps me write content that includes the keyphrase effectively without being excessive.
  • Yoast also helps with overall readability using their red/yellow/green light indicators. Even better are the detail explanations that help guide you to understand HOW and exactly WHAT you need to do to achieve the green light status (i.e. sentence length, passive voice, etc...).
  • Snippet preview is also great to be able to control what will appear in an organic search result so I can ensure it contains the most important and relevant information to a potential visitor.
  • There are times when I disagree with some of the readability suggestions but overall they are extremely helpful.
  • Nothing else comes to mind, Yoast honestly has been very helpful and works great!
  • I have gained new clients from finding my website online organically (not paid) and I attribute many of these to Yoast!
I have not used any other SEO plugins to reference/compare.
Without all the guidance and tips that Yoast SEO provides, my websites local visibility would be much lower. I gain new clients from my website and it is critical I am found when certain keywords or keyphrases are searched online. Yoast has helped this to become a reality. Plus, I can always revise existing content or write new content and the scores/tips are updated dynamically as I write.

Using Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins

1 - I am the sole owner and operator of my company, 1 on 1 Lessons. I alone have created and continue to maintain my website.
1 - Again, myself the sole owner and operator of the business. I am well-versed in many areas of technology but web design and SEO are not strengths so using Yoast relied upon some self-learning as well as being able to easily leverage Yoast to strategically boost my local SEO based on how easy it was to use Yoast while writing content for pages and posts.
  • Improve local visibility of my website based on keywords and keyphrases used by target clients.
  • Future use of review- and recommendation-style posts with affiliate links. Yoast will be used to improve readability and SEO for these posts as well.
  • I intend to begin creating some review- and recommendation-style pages and posts to include affiliate links and I will need Yoast to help me effectively write this content.
I see no reason to discontinue using Yoast as it has been very beneficial for my website and my business.

Using Yoast Wordpress SEO Plugins

All the information is integrated on-screen while writing content and the scores and related score elements (i.e. paragraph/sentence length, transition words, keyphrase density, etc.) are all updated live as I write which I think is amazingly helpful.

  • Yoasts integration with Wordpress makes it simple to review the important details of my content without having to leave the page/post I am writing.
  • I love that the scores (Readability & SEO) are updated live as I type. I tend to write the content all first then review and modify at the end but occasionally I find myself checking the scores throughout.
  • Sometimes it is difficult to write content that satisfies all elements of the readability and SEO scores so as you update content to resolve one area of concern it sometimes raises concern in another area. This has become easier as I have written more content.
