Overall Satisfaction with Ziflow
We use Ziflow for reviewing videos throughout the production process internally, as well as with the client. Since Ziflow is very versatile, we can use it in every single step of the process, whether it's for proofing storyboards or full-on edits. It's great to have a central place to make all comments and edits that points out exactly what part of the asset needs to be altered not just with a timestamp, but also with actual highlights. It definitely beats our old "timestamps in a document" method by a mile! While not the only proofing platform out there, Ziflow does exactly what it promises and I have no reason to look elsewhere.
Pros
- Instant notifications for new comments, replies, and uploads.
- It's easy to track versions and update them accordingly, while still being able to use the previous version as a reference.
- Not only can you track edits with timestamps, but having actual highlights is incredibly helpful for those tiny details!
Cons
- It seems to have difficulties displaying certain types of PDF files every now and then.
- While the version tracking is great, it could still be improved by being able to replace a file within a version. Sometimes you have the smallest rendering mistake and it takes creating a new version to be able to update the file.
- It has prevented confusion on whether something is still a work in progress or finalized.
- It has reduced the time it takes for everyone to align on feedback.
- It hugely improved efficiency in our workflow, as well as communication all around.
