Use Cases and Deployment Scope

As a fully distributed company, Zoom Workplace is one of our core operational tools. We use Zoom Workplace for all internal and external communications – from weekly one-on-ones to new business pitches, we're on Zoom Workplace for all of it. We utilize Zoom Workplace's new AI features to support our team in delivering great service to clients without worrying as much about administrative tasks.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Easy integration with other core products that we use like Google and Figma
Evolving AI tools that make our processes even easier
Quality video and audio delivered across the globe

Cons

Displaying the name of the meeting in an accessible place so users know whether they've clicked into the wrong meeting or not
Making it easier to edit permissions for meetings from the app instead of logging into the browser to change from passcode to require authentication
Enhancing some of the functionality for breakout rooms like timers other than when the rooms are going to close

Return on Investment

As a fully distributed agency, Zoom Workplace is core to our business. We wouldn't be able to work without it.
Zoom Workplace allows our distributed team to connect for work-related and non-work-related meetings and activities.
Zoom Workplace helps us keep our overhead low and our team focused.

Alternatives Considered

Microsoft Teams

You couldn't pay me enough money to use Microsoft Teams on a regular basis. In my opinion, Zoom Workplace is in a class of its own as compared to Teams. I think the Teams experience is clunky, cumbersome and includes too many features. I was glad to see the one feature that I liked from Teams (being able to message a call that you're not in if you're running late) recently added to Zoom Workplace.
