Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We're a fully remote team spread across 4 countries and multiple time zones. Zoom allows us to connect for meetings, trainings, and social events. We do a lot of screen sharing for decks and co-working one documents. Meetings are also recorded and shared for access across the entire team, regardless of location and availability.

Google Hangouts (Classic)
Slack

Zoom is the standard for video collaboration. It is the expected professional solution when inviting external guests. It is easy to join and navigate as an attendee. The audio and video quality are pretty good and it doesn't seem to tax your internet connection too much. It is reliable and consistent.

Likelihood to Recommend

Large meetings are easy to spin up with Zoom, especially if you're adding external guests. AI Tools are fine, but can be hard to navigate. Our team typically prefers Google hangouts for more social focused events as the vibe is a bit better (and the add ons are bit more fun)
