Overall Satisfaction with ZoomInfo Marketing

We use ZoomInfo Marketing search intent info to align with our outbound marketing strategy. We use Engage as a CRM to manage our outbound sales flows. We use this nationally for companies from SMB to Enterprise. We sell technology services (some more suited for certain sized businesses) and the management of client technology expenses.

Pros

  • Use of AI (copilot)
  • Accuracy of contact info

Cons

  • In my experience, the tool has far too many issues with portal data reporting
  • In my experience, intent topics are not scrubbed as much as they should be
  • In my experience, intent topics are not as timely as they need to be
  • In my experience, Engage seems to constantly have issues that require trouble tickets
  • It has had neutral impact on our objectives, it enlightened us to use of CoPilot
  • In our experience, it has had a horrible ROI on our Marketing budget.
  • While we have experienced some consolidation benefits, the fact that we used them for over 2 years and did not convert a SINGLE prospect outweighs all positives.
  • We simply failed to get responses to our outreach, even when we paid extra for custom intent, worked with outside Marketing to write the emails... outbound email marketing for our suite of services is not a good mix with ZoomInfo Marketing.
Simple to use, but, in our experience, it does not work as advertised and we had MANY, MANY, MANY trouble tickets that could never be explained. We even offered having our account totally cancelled and "rebooted" with a brand new account to get past these ghost issues. Their refusal of our offer echoed to me that they knew it would not resolve the issues so we just proceeded. We have not used ZoomInfo Marketing for anything over the last half of our subscription other than contact harvesting and there are MANY much less expensive places one can buy contact info.
NA for us. They wanted us to add these services, but we told them we had to begin seeing some ROI on what we were already using. They did not help us get there so we did not go even deeper in the hole.
We have evaluated these as platforms we are considering/moving to as replacement of ZoomInfo Marketing.

If you are trying to build a database of contacts, I think they are better than many. Beyond that, for outbound marketing efforts, I would 100% shop around. Their people are responsive, but, in my opinion, the product is overpriced and needs too much care/attention.
