Braze hit on a lot of the needs from easy of data integration and ingestion, segmentation, automation flows, compliance documentation, as well as working with me to make it financially possible to be set up for success. Some of the other platforms offer more flexibility but also deeper technical knowledge, Braze is a great partner for teams that want to move quickly but also have finite resources.

Braze and SFMC are pretty close, but Braze hits the sweet spot with the amount of features it offers and price. Salesforce can be more advanced in terms of features, but is also more complex, and it is pricier.

Braze fit our use-case. Every CRM/CEP has their positives and negatives and there is no one-size-fits-all solution. It's worth doing your due diligence on your current needs and assessing future needs as well. Sometimes scalability will be a priority and Braze will facilitate that, sometimes cost efficiency is a priority and perhaps that's better served by Klaviyo. Integration capability also matters and it's important your MarTech stack speaks to each other. Braze has a robust list of partners whereas other tools may require some middleware. It's worth doing your research when selecting your CRM/CEP because if you select incorrectly, you may be back at the drawing board within a year or two.

Braze and Iterable stood out as the best two customer engagement tools for us, but the level of support and out-of-the-box features offered by Braze pipped them slightly ahead of the competition. Overall, they showed the tool as the best solution we needed, specifically to our requirements.

Compared to Salesforce Commerce Cloud, Braze is much more user friendly, flexible and provides for easier segmentation and personalization. The reporting in Braze is also much easier to use. Compared to Marketo, Braze has a better UI and UX, and an easier learning curve for new users. The set up and maintenance of customer journeys is much easier. The only thing I miss from Marketo is the ability to view the customer log, which allows you to see the automation that happens against each user profile, allowing for easier troubleshooting.

Braze is far superior in terms of its interface to Adobe Campaign. It is much easier to segment audiences and build detailed canvases' with little to no effort. However, when it comes to sourcing issues with certain sends, Adobe Campaign is much easier to navigate and pinpoint the issues we have.

Braze compliments many of our other services and even though it required a lot of initial effort to get Braze integrated with our app, web, stack, etc. It resulted in less training time and provided us with more features in order to enhance the user experience across the board, especially with CRM. Our company is focused on improving efficiency in order to reduce costs while also enhancing the customer experience and keeping them in the funnel. Braze allows us various ways to address customer needs without requiring a ton of maintenance from individual contributors.

Braze allows for us to build multi-channel, multi-step campaigns and user journeys that involve email, push notifications, SMS, in-app messages, content cards, webhooks, audience sync, etc. In addition, Braze provides robust reporting, segmentation, personalization, import, and export tooling. It is clear that Braze really listens to their customers and uses feedback to develop their product roadmap and prioritization.

Every business is different, but in my experience, Braze has filled the need for the clients that are using it and they have done a masterful job of creating and continuing to update a platform that is excellent!

We chose Braze when vetting (against Klaviyo + Iterable, and coming from Ortto) because we felt it was the biggest level up for us. It allows us to own cross-channel messaging in one place and we felt like it was the only platform that was truly going to level up our Lifecycle communications.

Braze has a bit easier UI - more marketer friendly than Adobe Campaign and SFCC. Better journey/canvas function than Oracle and Listrak. Probably better functionality for mobile app than Oracle (I haven't used Braze for mobile app but did use Oracle). Braze has the least capabilities on reporting. Oracle was much better on list health/deliverability management. None do SMS as well as a true mobile platform like Vibes, but I would say Braze is middle of the road among these that I've listed. Braze has only been better on account services than Adobe.
