Well suited for any business that has staff who are in control of their time and day to day tasks which require expenditure. Also a very good way to track expenses and pick up on trends or areas where money could be saved. Maybe not so useful for small organisations or the self employed.

Good for companies that need to claim expenses. Especially useful for companies that need to claim mileage and track why people are submitting claims. We are often visiting clients, claiming back travel expenses, and putting through any marketing or meeting expenses. This makes it really simple and easy to claim everything back and track it all in one place.

This review is based off of using the app for around 6 months now. The claims are simple to submit and the feature to get the approval from line manager is excellent. With updates throughout the full process you can see what stage your claim is at and when it is due to be paid.

As an employee, I use Webexpenses to quickly submit receipts and claims for any purchases I've made which I can claim back [such as] travel, training courses, and other miscellaneous costs for online products and services. Our finance team can quickly review and approve these [expenses] ensuring employees get paid back quickly.
When commuting to the office in my own vehicle, I find the map feature of the platform to be very handy, as it allows you to select a start and end of the journey, and automatically calculates the mileage you are owed. This is much faster and more accurate than other expense systems I have used, where the amounts are estimates.

Webexpenses is very easy to use, it is super user friendly and can be accessible from mobile phones, iPads and laptops. The only issue is you can only remain logged into one device at a time. The process is simple to understand and all data is stored so it is easy to refer back to things when needed.

The scenario I have is to claim expenses. I haven't used it for other things yet. I think it is quite quick to do and is friendly for new users since it is easy to follow the logic of where the options are.

It's well suited for big companies where it's difficult to keep track of every single expense in a manual way. Makes it cheaper and requires fewer accountants. Not the best for self-employed people, since the service might be redundant for them. In addition, the services provided by webexpenses make organizing team building events a feasible possibility from the employees' perspective, allowing for more genuine connections to be created by the employees themselves without having to rely on their own wallets.

I have used other expense systems that are more user friendly. The fact that you can not use a single receipt more than once causes problems, particularly with petrol expenses when a receipt needs to be uploaded multiple times as they are removed as you use it. Its a very clunky system and I have lost some of my inputting because it is difficult to use and not user friendly.

Webexpenses is helpful in an organization where team members are traveling to places at the same time. Employees feel confident that it will be an easy process to submit any [work-related] expenses. It is smart enough and works well when there are many approvers and chains. With more improvements around scanning, I believe it can be a very convenient tool for companies to have.

The system can be customizable - to a point. The system is used by non Finance minded individuals so need try and simplify things for them as much as possible. There are good features such as uploading receipts early, however this depends on users being organized which unfortunately is not usually the case. But there are good features.

Webexpenses is great if you are currently manually entering you claims on to a spreadsheet (which isn't a very good use of an employee's time) as the process of importing your credit cards statement into Webexpenses is very simple. Also sending to your manager for them to sign by only entering their name in the signature field of the spreadsheet isn't very secure secure whereas Webexpenses automatically sends the claim to your manager and only they can approve via their own account.
