Agility CMS vs. OpenText WEM vs. Terminalfour Digital Engagement and Web Development Platform

Agility is well suited for companies that want a balance of control and support. For major global site updates, these can be handled by Agility's support team, while minimal changes and updates can be performed autonomously by the company's own staff with ease. For companies that are interested in flexibility to reconstruct site structure or major global facelifts, Agility is less ideal because these changes must be handled and paid for through Agility support.

Areas where OpenText WEM is well suited 1. Improved digital/web presence of the organization's leaders globally. 2. Established the leaders as go-to experts for thought leadership and domain knowledge among C-level executives of related industries. 3. Amplified the client’s marketing and branding efforts. 4. Customer engagement reflected by interaction count on social media—likes,comments and conversations.

It's an extremely flexible solution. It can be a nightmare to work with if not properly planned out or fantastic if well thought out. If you have a team and an application owner with a plan it's a great option.

• Unlimited Content Modules which are extremely helpful for file management .
• Unlimited number of API and Asset Requests
• File management among the CMS is extraordinarily useful as a hosting tool native to our web content

• The filing system and search function are often difficult to navigate. Finding a file that I've uploaded isn't always easy to locate in Agility CMS
• The WYSIWYG content manager isn't always intuitive. I often have to go directly into HTML editing to resolve line spacing problems

• It's unable to connect user accounts so that accounts are set and utilize a single sign-in.

• It can be a bit buggy with media library management.
• The html editor can act pretty wonky sometimes with the html it translates things into.
• The navigation builder tool is pretty confusing.

I am not a part of this decision process at our organization.

Support is always available and responsive when we email, responding right away that they are on the case, even if they are unable to solve the issue right away. Support will usually find the issue of our problem quickly and require minimal hand-holding, direction, or re-explanation from our team. They are knowledgeable about the platform and our instance and are able to run diagnostics with minimal information from us. When issues are resolved they always request confirmation that things are working as expected before closing out our tickets.

We have choosen OpenText WEM against other vendors because : 1. Helped client reinforce brand image
through unique design language and templatization of collaterals, consistent
messaging, and regular competitor benchmarking. 2. Enables lead generation through
high-quality gated collateral, product videos, etc. 3. Senior management and sales lead meet
client regularly for project review meetings and feedback on engagement

• Helps get contents updated and shared very quickly
• Ability to have team work based on standard templates ensures content presentation is inline with organizational standards
• Lack of DB and templates makes it easier for interns to come onboard and develop contents - this is super cost effective

• Increased employee efficiency.
• Happier internal customers because changes are much easier than they used to be and we can often empower them to make their own changes to their websites.
• For our application owner it's become a huge project that consumes all of his time. Not ideal but it's working for now. Knowledge sharing the more intricate pieces can be really difficult.
