Its probably better suited for home-use rather than in a large office setting. Fortunately, my suite is less than 2000 sq ft so it's not much of an issue. It allows downloading and can be used amongst other managers or IT staff and the likes. I dont use any for outside.

Slido

Slido is great to use for live meetings, whether in person or via video conference; we mostly use this for Zoom meetings. You can use the different features at different times in your meeting: I love to start our All Hands meetings with a word cloud or a poll of some kind, and as people are joining via zoom it gets people feeling excited and connected even before we've started. It also gives us something fun to talk about while we're waiting for everyone to arrive and for the meeting to start. You can do a poll halfway through to keep people engaged, and then a poll at the end to see how you did, or maybe use the Q&A to see what questions come up without having the awkward zoom silence when you ask if anyone has any questions. I don't think this is helpful in smaller meetings, where people likely feel more comfortable interacting directly and asking questions verbally.

  • Easy for event attendees to access thanks to the intuitive event code system.
  • Easy to set up q&a segments, including moderation and reddit-style up-voting to ensure the best questions are seen and answered.

  • A chat feature is required especially when using with Webex Events so that attendees only have one app to communicate with event hosts and panelists - currently they use slido app on phones to answer polls etc but have to chat to panelists via Webex webinars / events

I have only had to contact them one time, and they were responsive and professional. It is difficult to give a rating on this unless you actually have an issue. This is the reason for a 9 out of 10. I can not give a perfect rating if I never had an opportunity to truly experience something.

We choose Slido over the internal Q&A in the web conferencing we use because of its flexibility. Teams Live is a good example where you need to give moderators Producer rights to the whole event to be able see questions. This can give a wide range of people access to controls for the entire event meaning they could accidently stop/start the live stream or make un intended changes. Separating the Q&A moderation keeps the production side of the event safe. Also the ability to use word clouds and free text is handy
