Well suited if you're using a lot of tools that work in tandem with this such as Snowflake, Amazon, S3, Tableau, Power, BI, Redshift, and others. It also has robust functionality for the quality management of metadata sets. The most helpful thing here is all the dashboards that provide visibility in one place. In my experience, less suited for collaboration across teams. Not a ton of ways to do things in real-time together.

It is well suited when looking for a solution to manage master data centrally. Master Data Governance also allows for audit trails of master data changes. SAP Master Data Governance also maintains data integrity. It also provides ease of managing master data. Area for SAP Master Data Governance to improve upon is UI (User Interface). WebDynpro UI is very slow and needs improvement.

• Like SAP ECC, MDG performs very well throughout all sites around the world.

The utility of the software is quite adequate and high quality. However, especially for a new user it may be difficult to manage all aspects of the program without adequate and comprehensive training. Even when the training is complete, the users may need support for details throughout the process. IT is a useful software which is difficult to manage in a short time

Customer support is very appreciable for SAP Master Data Governance tool and we are able to resolve our problems in minimum lead time at most. The support teams are responsive and well professional with a positive attitude all the time. The customers can easily contact SAP Master Data Governance support teams through multiple channels.

We did not evaluate any COTS product as an alternative. We have evaluated internal process changes as an option. However, [SAP Master Data Governance] solution provided far greater value for money than any process improvements. That being said, [Master Data Governance] is not an alternative to good process. It compliments good data management and well defined processes. Engaging experienced consultants will improve outcomes of [Master Data Governance] implementation.

• It has caused delays in our cFin replication process as AIF is being held up by master data creation from SAP Master Data Governance.
• There is also no Fiori app that will let us copy GL accounts from one company code to another, similar to code FS15 in ECC.
