Chose AutoCAD Web
Although there are lots of alternatives to AutoCAD mobile on the Google play store and the app store, many of these alternatives are not professionally developed and are associated with shady developers. So there might be a privacy or security risk with the usage these …
Chose AutoCAD Web
They are similar but the online/cloud feature of Fusion provides a better user experience across platforms.
Chose AutoCAD Web
I selected AutoCAD 360 because I had no idea how to work on in-house designs, plans, and geographic spaces. I invested part of the time in this innovative tool and I keep using it to have a clear idea of the materials that I should use in the different projects that I evaluate.
Chose AutoCAD Web
The AutoCAD 360 can work directly from the program, making changes or indicating where changes should be made while agreements are reached for the good of the project you are working on, the other systems show you the plan, but they do not help you with the edit or modifications
Chose AutoCAD Web
Although Draftsight is free and open source, AutoCAD 360 is better than Draftsight because more people use it. AutoCAD caters more to the "big" user base. It has a rather large learning curve though, however, there are many Youtube videos on explanations of how to use the …
Chose AutoCAD Web
As far as I know, Solidworks doesn't really have any sort of software like this, and that is pretty much the other industry standard I like to use a lot. So there really isn't any other competition out there competing with AutoCAD 360 which is kind of unfortunate as having …
Chose AutoCAD Web
Revit is another step above CAD 360 as more information can be added as well as more consultants and third party designers are starting to move toward those programs. I think the cloud compatibility is headed in the right direction and Autodesk is always trying to make the …
Chose AutoCAD Web
The best thing about AutoCAD is that it can create a Universal Output for any related software, irrelevant if it was created by Autodesk. Just about any software can interface with dwg or dxf file types to name a few. AutoCAD doesn't have a direct 1:1 that's comparable in my …
NoteVault
Chose NoteVault
Notevault is who we decided to use, for the simple fact that it is the easiest on the market for our foremen to use. Make it easy, and they'll actually do it. Make it bulky and cumbersome, and they'll do a way less accurate job of daily reporting. This is why Notevault works …
Chose NoteVault
I have used both Raken and NoteVault. It is my preference to use NoteVault due to the simplicity of it. Raken tended to be a bit cumbersome. I did not like the photo features used with Raken as opposed to the very simple straight forward approach with NoteVault.
Chose NoteVault
I have not found another program that can do or offers what Notevault does for our company. We like to be on the cutting edge of tech for our industry by investing in the best processes as they become available, but I simply have not found anything comparable to notevault at …
Chose NoteVault
I have not used other products similar to NoteVault
Chose NoteVault
As a company, we relied on Word document as our daily report. We do not have any other products to evaluate against.
Chose NoteVault
We could use the daily report feature in our current project management software, but it doesn't have any many features. NoteVault is a no-brainer.

User Testimonials
AutoCAD WebNoteVault
Likelihood to Recommend
We utilize the software for remote access to our projects. It has come in the handiest when an unexpected issue arises and we don't have the right project files on our laptop. We can easily access our information from the cloud. If you need to download/print to a PDF file, this software is not able to do this.

NoteVault helps to reduce the amount of time to produce a daily report and makes the typically burdensome task easier to accomplish. Our Superintendents are able to craft their daily reports as they see the work activities being performed as opposed to trying to remember what happened during the day and then writing down those activities with accuracy after a long day in the field. NoteVault also allows our Superintendents to keep accurate manpower counts, material deliveries, equipment on site and weather reports.

Pros
  • Download a file from my cloud storage site
  • The zoom in and zoom out tool
  • The cloud line type for further evaluation
  • The rotation function on 3D models
  • The displacement command for lines and blocks
  • The lines and polines drawing command

  • Enhances safety; instead of writing notes, with my head down buried in a notebook, I am aware and looking around. I work on highway repair projects next to live traffic and all types of construction equipment moving in all directions and overhead.
  • Documentation; I got in a dispute with a contractor recently and won it immediately by showing my Notevault notes with time stamped photos of the disputed work.
  • Communication; I can keep other support staff back in the home office up to date with project developments and they get to see what is going on .

Cons
  • Lite version should be available for lower end devices.
  • Editing drawings is a complex and time consuming task (even simple edits).
  • Finding drawings on the mobile is a hassle.

  • The website for administrators setting up projects and users could be improved. It's hard to find where things are located. I would like it in more of a Office (Word) template, with tabs up top. Some things are in Settings, some are in tabs, some are on the right side.

Likelihood to Renew
This is so useful so we would like to keep renewing as Autocad 360 does. In fact we are very optimistic about the tools that come in every renewal because we will then have even more features available.

Return on Investment
  • AutoCAD 360 has saved a tremendous amount of time in file sharing and reviewing files. I know I'm getting repetitive, but having such a small convenience like this honestly saves so much time, and makes life so much easier.

  • It has made it easy for our guys out in the filed to report all that is needed for daily reports so there is no scrabbling to remember and report at a later time.
  • NoteVault has had no negative impact for us at all.
