Celigo vs. SAP Integration Suite

If you need to connect NetSuite to some other platform or application, you should reach for Celigo. It is a true Integration Platform. I can write code and build integrations from scratch, but they will never be as solid as what Celigo already has built. Also, Celigo gives non-developers superpowers. In NetSuite, it can be used as an alternative to SuiteScripting.

Like, a business wants its distributors to access products and services without giving them DB access. The SAP Integration Suite helps by exposing APIs through API management and separating external API consumers from the implementation. It fits in an organization because an organization needs a managed API layer rather than a collection of unmanaged ones.

• Previewing data transformations and scripts in real time
• Ability to retry data and manage errors when something goes wrong
• Pre built apps for quick implementation

• The extensive catalog of pre package integrations that have in the discovery center. That allows developers to find solutions that can fit the needs.
• Monitor of the integrations and api deployed.
• API management has been for us a very usefull tool inside integration suite, to be able to have the API Hub with the documentation of our apis.

• Documentation has gotten better over the years, but could improve.
• Marketing efforts could be greater. Its a terrific product that people should know about
• More webinars could be helpful to show how folks are saving time and money.

• Performance to be improved: for simple point to point integrations with bare minimum data it takes relatively more time than other applications
• No possibility to have a dedicated own license running on my own network
• Need to improve providing more pre loaded connectors
• No availability of AI usage in standard edition

It is in place, our system integrators are familiar with it, and it fits into the ecosystem. A better user interface, flow build and debugging experience would see it grow, many technical staff do not enjoy using it for this reason, however it is quite capable and powerful behind this one shortcoming.

There is a bit of a learning curve, but not bad. Once you get a flow or two under your belt, there will be no stopping you. You will start to see possibilities and ways to apply automation and integration throughout your business. It becomes fun to look for additional ways to save money, time, and improve accuracy

I have given this rating to SAP integration suite because it is useful in monitoring and troubleshooting functionality which help me as a user to track message processing,identify and analyzed logs and errors and it helps in investigating integrated features failure. SAP offfers flexible UI for enterprise level integration.As being experianced professional developers can build and analyze and monitor integration scenrios.

Since it is a web based GUI, sometimes the pages refresh and react a bit slow, also some drag and drop functionality works a bit iffy

The support for SAP Integration Suite is satisfactory. We leverage SAP support through our manage services partner. So far, we have not had many major issues. One concern, to make our rating a ten, would be turnaround time on high priority incidents. SAP Integration Suite drives our key business functions forward. Without a reasonable service level agreement on turnaround, we sometimes find us running into issues running pay, etc.

Used SAP own materials for training. With SAP changing the interface and terminology so often, the training materials sometimes refer to non-existent paths or renamed features.

SAP Migration tool gives a good idea of what needs to be done but don't count on it doing majority of the work

Celigo handles errors much much better. Celigo stores templates all in one place making them much easier to find. Celigo interacts with your database as you are working allowing you to pull picklist values right from your db Celigo does not upsert large datasets as quickly and can take quite some time

Before deploying SAP Integration Suite, we assessed Oracle Financial Services Analytics and IBM Risk Analytics. While Oracle had proved its mettle in the exceptional database support and IBM in presenting risk model tools, SAP Integration Suite overwhelmed others by being effortlessly integrated with our existing banking framework.

On occasion an IFlow gets stuck in "Running" state and can't be terminated, since it is a cloud solution - there is no way to manually terminate it.

• Ability to have multiple integrations across different SAP systems or modules and be able to actively monitor in one place
• APIs already exist for the different fields in SAP products and are easy to locate
• Can set email notifications to aid with monitoring and alert business process owners of issues
