Contactually CRM (discontinued) vs. Filevine

Contactually is a very powerful CRM, even though it is extremely simple to use. It is very intuitive and fun to use! Their templates for nurturing and follow-up are phenomenal, so if you have a sales cycle, this is the tool for you. I even use it to keep track of family and acquaintances' interactions, as Contactually can alert me when it's been 30 days since the last time I talked to person A. The only reason I don't give it a 10 is because price has been going up in recent years.

AI is here - whether we like it or not, lawyers and paralegals are using it. Filevine gives users the AI in a safe way that isn't in the public domain or discoverable. Lois has given our users the AI tools so we can control how AI is deployed and used, keeping our data safe, our client information protected and eliminating the possibility of any open AI searches being discoverable

• Social tracking is really only through Twitter so though you can add LinkedIn, G+, and even AngelList social profiles, you don't get users' social posts from those
• The feature that highlights opportunities to stay connected with "important" contacts COULD be incredible but it only reports to you when those users have birthdays or they tweet @ you. Rather worthless in that regard. Would be nice if Important contacts showed every time those people posted something on social media.
• Becomes laborious when you have thousands of contacts and need to organize them and indicate their level of importance.
• Time since last contacted only tracks email. You can't manually indicate that you've contacted them, it doesn't track your calendar to know if you had a meeting

• I think the new update on contact cards needs to be a little more simpler, I love that they added the extension portion, but it's just a bit clunky and too big. It also take longer to load.
• I think that Filevine doesn't need to log you out every day, when I log it it give me the option to remember device for 180 days, sometimes im in the middle of editing a document in Filevine and it signs me out.

Just doesn't provide the sophistication that I seek. It's a simple solution with some innovation automation relatively speaking, but ideal for individuals and small businesses with basic CRM needs.

It's worth our investment, we've reached a 75% ROI within the last 3 years, it was not easy but we feel that we succeeded, 75% it was not from one day to the other, it was a huge effort delivered from everyone in our organization and now we're living our dream.

It is very user friendly. I can upload documents and ask questions like any AI tool, but it is secure and not published publicly for client confidentiality reasons. I think it is helpful for quickly reviewing files for next steps and what has been done on the case. It is less helpful for legal advice because of hallucination concerns, although I haven't attempted to have it cite to case law

Their live video chat support is a good resource, but often the problem cannot be resolved through this chat, and then promises to have someone follow up are almost always dropped. Filevine fails to make corrections for glitches or missing basic functions.

Filevine charged a lot for implementation, both directly to Filevine and their partners, but they failed to deliver on what was promised

I have not used any other system before and I cannot imagine myself using any other one. I am used to the layout and overall whole design of Filevine so I hope I don't have to switch to a different system any time soon or ever in the coming future
