Crowdbase (discontinued) vs. Socialtext (discontinued) vs. Starmind

I wouldn't suggest Crowdbasefor smaller companies, even for bigger companies a more integrated solution would be desirable. It may suit companies that want their collaboration separate from project management and CRM, but at least for our organisation it seems to make more sense to have most of our work tools in one place

We use Social Text as a platform to air our issues with different departments. We voice our concerns and suggestions so we can help find a solution to the problems we incur on a daily basis. We need to have social text as an app so we can communicate in real time not only during work hours.

Shared knowledge is essential to widely distribute knowledge among the various sectors of the company. Knowledge is power and we have discovered this with Starmind, where we are all capable of solving different problems without the need to work in a certain sector or not.

• Search needs a ton of improvements. It was very slow a year ago
• Search result quality was also not that good
• I know they have improved their UI recently but when i used it last year it did not really have any design elements which could be used to make the articles look more presentable. It was important for us as we used it for external communication as well.

• I'm still not familiar with its interface in a comfortable way. It seems to me that there are functions whose potential can be exploited more but they are not visual, instead there are many others that can get in the way a little in the daily use of the platform.

We have a lot of info in Socialtext already. It would be hard to get all that info out and port it to a different system

Crowdbase's strength may lie in its ability to do just one main thing well, but for us this was a massive limitation. I know that it is not trying to be Podio and it is therefore unfair to compare the two but there are features that overlap. for us Podio was better suited.

I frankly like Confluence better than socialtext because of the speed and the quality of search. They also have better design elements which can help make the articles pleasant to the eyes.

Bloomfire is an excellent tool, it provides multiple similar features, these platforms being intelligent in the search for shared knowledge, however, Starmind seems to me to have better search options and interaction actions between users.

• The effective search for the right person to attend specific commercial projects has allowed us to hit the target, since we are exploiting the potential of each of the company's personnel regardless of the department to which they belong, we diversify, learn and adapt to changes, in favor of always achieving the proposed objectives and achieving better performance and work efficiency.
