Considered Both Products
DISCO Ediscovery
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
DISCO Ediscovery is easier to learn, more intuitive to use, and seems to give more consistent results. The interface is quite easy to use and gives a lot of information that aids in document review. The threading and family functions are extremely helpful
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
DISCO is affordable and easy to use for boutique firms.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
DISCO Ediscovery outperforms all the competitors we reviewed on ease of adoption, usability, UI design, support, functions, features, and feature updates. While the price was a bit higher, DISCO Ediscovery's value was far greater than that offered by the other products. DISCO …
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
I believe Relativity had greater functionality for more advanced users, but it's more complicated nature caused more mistakes among users who lacked experience.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
Relativity. I found the interface of Relativity more intuitive. However, it is easier to manipulate documents on DISCO. Both could be improved by allowing you to mass download documents more easily.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
See other previous answers. Relativity is miles better but obviously more expensive
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
I much prefer DISCO over Everlaw and Relativity
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
We've used Relativity, Xera, and a few others I'm forgetting. I strongly dislike Relativity when I have to use it now that I've been using DISCO Ediscovery.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
This is what I told the sales rep for Relativity and Lumix: "DISCO Ediscovery is much more user-friendly, faster, accurate, and… well, just everything else pales in comparison, is STILL an understatement – it was a collective decision and unanimous. We will stay with DISCO …
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
DISCO kills Relativity in my mind. the speed, ease of use, modern and user-friendly interface, etc., etc. hands down. do not use Relativity if you can use disco. i haven't used concordance in ages because it was terrible than so I can only assume it's still terrible.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
DISCO is more cost effective, easier to use and outperforms the other platforms. DISCO makes me look good. :)
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
I used Relativity a long time ago and wasn't a fan. It was at the time very similar to Disco but you didn't have as much control and the interface wasn't as user-friendly.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
For the user, DISCO was more intuitive to use and navigate. It also seemed to load documents faster than some other platforms. However, it felt like the search and filtering capabilities were less advanced.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
DISCO Ediscovery leaves them all in the dust. We selected DISCO Ediscovery for a lot of reasons, ease of use being the primary one.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
Compared to the other document archive platforms our department has used in the past, DISCO Ediscovery provides greater search accuracy and organizational capabilities. The subscription price is slightly higher than the other competitors but the value DISCO Ediscovery …
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
I have not yet used any other products by DISCO, outside of DISCO Ediscovery.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
I did not choose DISCO, my organization did. But everyone has been happy with the choice.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
Relativity, Concur, etc.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
I prefer DISCO [Ediscovery] over Relativity. I think it is easier to use and produces better results.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
Feel like more or less the same. It all boils down to learning curve and ease of familiarity.
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
I have used proprietary in-house software at a litigation management firm. The in-house software allowed for documents to be processed and coded in order for the end-user to run a report that met the end-users parameters. DISCO allows for documents to be ingested, and for …
Chose DISCO Ediscovery
I worked with many Relativity-based ediscovery solutions, but consistently find myself preferring DISCO over each and every one of them due to DISCO's ease of use, greater efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

DISCO
DISCO is very well suited to document review and file management when the case is known to be large and potentially last for a long period of time. It is also useful when the team on the case is fairly large, as it allows for effective and easy work distribution.

Alternatives Considered
DISCO
I have used proprietary in-house software at a litigation management firm. The in-house software allowed for documents to be processed and coded in order for the end-user to run a report that met the end-users parameters. DISCO allows for documents to be ingested, and for those ingested documents to be divided into review stages. The reports that DISCO allows the end-user to run are far superior to end-user reports of other in-house systems

Return on Investment
DISCO
  • DISCO has saved our clients tons of money in hosting fees, as well as hourly fees in time spent reviewing documents.
  • With DISCO's search capabilities, a review that could take weeks or months by many can be performed in days or weeks by fewer personnel.
  • With DISCO, actions that previously had to be contracted out to a vendor can now be handled in-house at a much cheaper cost.
