Docebo Learning Platform vs. Grovo, now part of Cornerstone LMS

Docebo [Learning Suite] is a great tool for hosting content when you have a clear idea and path of how you want your users to engage. Essentially, the UI and experience is beautiful and the navigation for users really beats out many other learning platforms but you need to be very deliberate in designing the paths for employees to take. You cannot expect employees and users to intuitively figure out what they need to do within the system. This is a key drawback. What I love is content curation from external sites such as youtube, linkedin, and uploaded videos that can launch all within Docebo -that for us is key to track how much engagement were getting where we couldn't have that on our previous platform.

Grovo is fantastic for bringing a team of people up to speed and for teaching a few things to a large audience. We found Grovo to be lacking when specific training is required or when the training required a certain level of skill. Grovo is fantastic for broad training, less so for specific depth training

• PPT import feature is my favorite. It will let you use your existing materials without a hiccup
• The UI is clean and intuitive. My audience was able to use most of the features with ease
• All learning analytics are easy to use and analyze offline easily
• Using the Linkedin Learning inside the platform gave us some time to come up with our own content, as we weren't sitting duck on an empty LMS

Users find it easy to navigate, but search functions are limited. For example, titling must be very precise. There is no AI feature that finds similar words or recommends learning based on previous searches. Learners cannot search for specific timepoints within videos and the platform is not compatible with all vendors (ex: Panopto)

The team is prompt and knowledgeable. It would be nice to have the ability to call and talk to a real person. All problems have been resolved so far, hence no issues.

When we have had issues with Grovo not working or a problem with report we have always gotten an answer quickly. We have a rep that we speak to often to make sure we are satisfied with the system and is just a quick email away. It nice to know we have support that will get back to you in a quick manner as we rely on this software.

The elephant in the room for me, would be TreeHouse. Grovo is very similar to TreeHouse in the fact that they're both programs with lesson tracks, simple and short videos, as well as progress trackers. I would have to say that I enjoyed learning coding on TreeHouse over Grovo, based on the wide variety of native coding languages they have implemented. Grovo, although extremely similar and easy to use as well, doesn't stack up to TreeHouse in my opinion. Grove does, however, beat out Lynda in my humble opinion

• We have many active users taking course content, which is great, but not a measurable ROI on our investment in Docebo.

• Zero impact. When we determined they were not a good fit for us, we decided to go another direction. I would certainly try them again however if they addressed my concerns as their service was excellent.
