Dripos is a great alternative to Square POS in most use cases. Although the monthly fee is higher than Square's "free," the fact that so many other features are included in that price — loyalty, online ordering, scheduling, team messaging, even payroll — makes it a much better value than paying for those add-ons within Square. It is best suited for quick-serve places with limited menus (I wouldn't yet suggest running a full-service, waiters-at-tables restaurant with it) and employee teams with no more than 20 per location (updates to scheduler may change this assessment soon enough).
MatrixCare is well suited for the size of this company and its budget. The support is awesome, very professional, polite and knows what they're doing. It is also well suited for my company based on the type of healthcare, LTC, and rehab. Although I don't use the MDS features, I hear my colleagues say how much they like using them. The providers like that they are able to create their progress notes right into Matrix and I like that too because there are no paper notes needing to scan. The providers also find the dashboard very helpful for knowing what orders need to be signed and which patients are due for visits. I am unaware of any scenarios where MatrixCare is not well suited for my company, as far as my role.
Kareo is not an appropriate application for any real-world clinical need. It is highly unreliable, crashing frequently, and often becomes frozen. It also cannot ingest data from Therapy Notes, which was a promised feature of the platform according to the sales team. Additionally, when we ran into reliability issues (every day, with every clinician at the practice, across a dozen different office locations with different internet service providers) we were not offered the ability to cancel our contract. Until the reliability issues are fixed Kareo is not well-suited to any use case because it does not work.
Kareo was a massive waste of money. It's an unreliable product without promised features and sold by a disingenuous sales team. We will stick to reliable services like Doxy, Therapy Notes, etc.
I have not had any problems with MatrixCare; however, I do not use the whole system and have not had to call MatrixCare or have support from them so I'm not the best to comment on that.
Dripos is an affordable upgrade from Square POS, but still less costly than alternatives like Toast or Upserve, and does not require purchase of any specialized equipment outside of card readers (main software works on any iOS or Android devices, and you can mix and match these). Their customer service and tech support are both top-notch and more responsive than any others I've experienced.
MatrixCare is being used as it was already implemented with the branch of business that was acquire, but, MatrixCare does the best out of all of our different clinical based systems
I selected Kareo EHR because it was a lot simpler to use and the customer service was definitely better. Every representative I have spoken to has been super friendly and helpful.
I'm hard-pressed to speak on behalf of the entire company, which consists of seven locations and I'm just the Health Information Manager. As far as my daily objectives, one positive impact is I no longer need a full-time assistant.
Another positive impact is the reduction of paper. Since I started here, there have been no paper records. MatrixCare provides a well-organized chart that is is easy to navigate through.
A third positive impact is related to the reduction of paper, ROI (Release of Information). MatrixCare provides records in a PDF format, which most receiving entities and individuals require.
We have negative reviews as we were sold a product that left out some key variables. Things we really needed to make the transition.
I don't think KAREO is good for small business (0-10 employees) because their prices for additional or standard features is steep. They charge by the therapist to boot and it is steep!
Again ASK questions; do a test run; ask about the migration of your data and its charges.
You sign with them you will be locked into a 12 month contract with no out clause. If they are costing you the money you have to stay with them.
