ecomdash vs. Fourth Procurement and Inventory

It would be well suited for a business that is just starting out with inventory management and sells on multiple channels. They are a growing company that is constantly changing and making improvements. I don't think there is another competitor out there that can offer the same features at their price point. It may not be well suit for large organizations.

The product is user-friendly in automating the tasks, managing the master data through central purchasing, and creating custom reports. It lacks certain basic functionalities like a record of wastages, sending automated emails confirming if the automatic tasks (scheduled tasks) have been completed or not, and the ability to automate the nutrition information, etc.

• Multi-channel inventory sync: automatic depletion and restoration of inventory with sales and refunds, syncing back to all your channels.
• Sales order and purchase order management: keep track of things you buy and sell while simultaneously keeping your inventory accurate.
• Custom upload and export formats: you can make ecomdash work with almost any platform by creating your own formats to upload or export your data.

• The 'stock management' tab on the home screen is of particular use when keeping tabs on incoming deliveries into the restaurant.
• The option to open and close your stock period is great as you have the chance to edit your stock at a moment's notice.

• User interface. The whole thing feels clunky.
• Knowledge-base. Their searchable knowledge base isn't really all that helpful. It feels like it was written as an afterthought.

• It would help massively to see via Enterprise and menu items what ones are no longer active, to keep the data tidy.
• When you take purchase reports from Enterprise and select to organise them by category, show the name of the category on the actual report download.
• Quick and easy upload/download of supplier products for correcting prices, descriptions, prices in bulk.

eComdash always answers our questions, and they have a call-back system to speak on the phone which is very convenient. The people there actually understand the complexities of the software and understand our problems when we explain them. Things get solved quickly and we feel like they care about the speed of the resolution.
