Elastic path is a cost-effectively product which bring the advanced capabilities to enable business to drive a better customer experience. The ecommerce solution is very clean and it is built heavily using open source tools.Elastic path ecommerce is definitely a strong competitor which would fit for any retailers / telco's .

Shopify

Shopify is a great platform for SMEs who want to launch an e-commerce store without wanting to spend a lot of money. It's pretty easy to set up and launch a website and does not require any hardcore coding [over-riding the need for] hiring a developer. Moreover, integrating with social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram is also pretty easy and straight forward which makes it even better. However, if an organization is looking forward to customizing it completely according to their needs, they would have to get Shopify's Advance subscription which is $79 per month which could be a bit high for a small and medium enterprise.

Shopify

  • It is definitely easy to set up and get going. This does not take a lot of work or effort on the user end, especially if using templates.
  • Low code platform. You can. make customizations without code.
  • The integrations are diverse and increase functionality.

Shopify

  • The main drawback that I am facing in Shopify for a long time is that their sales analytics system is not up to mark. As I am using Shopify to run different stores for my organization it does not get updated after-sales and does not provide the right analytics about the product strength and number of sales.
  • Secondly, Shopify has different apps which are best to run the store on max strength but they are very much costly like inventory management, generating multiple discount codes, and more robust customizable editing.

Nothing we have used in the past or have seen thus far even comes close to offering what we get with Shopify Plus, especially for the price. You cannot even come close to getting what we are getting at the price we pay. We are beyond thrilled and Shopify Plus meets and exceeds all of our needs and expectations. We love it!

I think most people are able to suer Shopify that have used a computer. There are some features that take a bit longer to learn. If you are not a creative person it may be a bit more difficult to learn the website customization, but with a help guide or tutorial it will only take a few tries to understand how to work the interface

Elastic Path

As a system integrator here are my thoughts --Elastic path is one of best ecommerce tools, which would fit any retailer/ telcos business needs. The software architecture is well thought through and it is built with open source tools, the Ecommerce application is easily extensible and it enables clients to get there E-commerce application in less time.We have evaluated other products like ATG ecommerce, WCS, Magento. Elastic path is definitely a briliant ecommerce product which I would recommend to any clients.

Shopify

The old platform that I used could not help us to meet our requirements. It was not helping us properly, then I got to know about Shopify and started using it. After 1 month [of] usage of Shopify we could understand that this is the best platform [for E-commerce] to make better sales and goodwill. Shopify helped us to get a proper idea of the analytics of the website. Shopify [supports] most of the [applications] and helps us to make better results.

  • Small vendor can't make more sell as they needs to pay monthly plan and commission on sale.
  • For large vendor it is really good sell products easily to using powerful SEO features and Shopify promotes products on they side also.
  • Used power algorithm for Abandoned cart and catalog search.
