Exact Globe+ vs. Zoho One

Exact Global is extensively used at EWS as a strategic tool of importance for managing our core Financial processes like Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger accounts, Financial entries, Transactions etc. It is a critical tool for EWS and integrated with our ERP for a seamless operations of financial processes in the enterprise

Advantages

• The price-quality ratio is excellent, even though Odoo has become very competitive.
• The time to implementation is also great, if not one of the best.
• Excellent billing and service desk apps

It is not the best solution if you are looking into a collaboration-focused software suite.

• Exact offers a large range of user defined fields, which is especially useful once you've built a base on the system and need to customize certain aspects. Just last week we added the ability to track customer training by model using custom UDFs.
• Engineering bills of material are tracked in Exact and the engineering BOM module is pretty intuitive and easy to use. Modification and drill down/up is not difficult once you figure out he basics.
• Inventory control is fairly simple and offers a lot of information and options to track different kinds of products. We use bulk and each UOMs primarily, but others are used regularly depending on application.

• Development appears to take long periods of time to bring customer enhancements into the next release. I have seen numerous obvious business application needs to be brought to the attention that is still 2-3 years old without an update

It is integrated with ERP to seamlessly deliver key processes like O2C, P2P etc. and very well liked by users for its ease of use and flexibility of data moving across different systems. Exact Global is a part of EWS’s enterprise architecture and roadmap aligned to PACE strategy for achieving business objectives

While the software is easy to use and pick up, the different user interfaces and limits across the application make it difficult and slow to implement additional applications quickly and seamlessly across the organization. If the User interface was more consistent we would be able to pick up and train on new apps more efficiently

Support is great as a customer, as a partner I get moved to that team more often and find issues in the support being provided. It also appears that the support agents do not take into account all the information provided and default back to the "step 1 of the playbook" instead of taking into account the business reason the support is being requested and understanding the steps already taken.

I've used other ERP systems in large organizations, one custom and one SAP. SAP is a very powerful suite of software, but comes at a price point that is unobtainable for many smaller companies. Exact is more realistic and accessible for smaller companies that are not necessarily global commodities, but instead smaller manufacturers in niche markets. I haven't had the opportunity to review many other options in this size range.

5 years ago, we decided to use Odoo. At that time, the enterprise version of Odoo was not competitive enough for a small company with minor integration needs when it comes to the pricing per user. Nowadays, pricing is almost equal. The effort of integration processes with Odoo is still higher even though it delivers more potential. A decision between both today would be more difficult for us.
