Likelihood to Recommend When a company wants a single platform that handles all security scanning and evaluation. I would also suggest to a small to medium-sized company that wants a patch management and security vulnerability tool that isn't going to break the bank.

For overall fleet management, maintenance scheduling, employee tracking and equipment tracking this service seems like it is an all in one package that hit all the check boxes my firm needed. The issue is lack of hardware and software updates and support, and what appears to be an over taxed cell network that is not allowing any of these devices to work correctly.
Read full review Pros Security is their main focus and they do an excellent job providing users the ability to use all tools in one product. Their reports are very detailed and have the option to auto email key people with executive reports to keep track of vulnerabilities and patch status. Keeping costs low, no other company could offer as much as they do for everything they offer. Read full review Verizon Business (formerly Verizon Enterprise)
Transit temperature monitoring - Verizon Connect allows us to fill in previously missing temperature information for food products in transit. Vehicle location monitoring - While not our primary goal, we are able to use Verizon Connect to see if any of our vehicles has stopped for an excessive amount of time. This helps us ensure safety of our vehicle drivers. Read full review Cons Their agentless patch management could offer realtime status of when a patch fails, or completes. Their 3rd party patching inventory could be larger. Patches that are released should be vetted prior to release unless its a critical or important patch. Contractor install is very cumbersome, inconvenient, and causes downtime. Tracking had lots of unexplained glitches, thousands of miles added and lost to various trucks out of nowhere. Customer Service is quick to "open a case" on any issues, but lacks follow-up and solutions. Lots of problems are "sent to development." Read full review Support Rating The Support zteam for GFI was with us all the way through, and I believe that they had the best support team of all the products that we use and/or tested.

Verizon Connect has great customer service. Our account manager has always replied quickly to any inquiries of mine and has been very knowledgeable and reliable. Drivers who've occasionally needed to call into the customer service helpline have quickly had their questions answered and problems resolved. All reports I've received from them about their experiences have been positive, stating that the Verizon Connect employees have been courteous and helpful, resolving their issue quickly and efficiently.
Read full review Alternatives Considered Of the two others in the list that we compared to GFI offers the same capabilities that the other two do but that it's also a security suite for the same price and product. The other two offer everything that GFI does but for a higher cost. Ivanti had a live update on the status of patch deployments which is something we wanted. Qualis does not offer agentless patching or scanning. We use Qualis for other purposes so it was considered.

Verizon is more precise with GPS, but the easy installation and quick onboarding make Motive the winner. Verizon connect has better accuracy and less chance of removal, but the interface set up take away from its ease of use. Motive is easily installed and can be transferred between vehicles that Verizon connect cannot.
Read full review Return on Investment GFI was on par with other patching software but offered more tools. In that, it was a great value. we chose a different software that was more inline with our needs, as we didn't need everything that GFI offered. GFI was our runner up. GFI gets the job done, there is no question about that. I would suggest any company to at least continue with a POC. Read full review Verizon Business (formerly Verizon Enterprise)
Costly compared to other GPS programs. Tied to long term contracts. Representatives do not know how to cancel service. Must wait until the end of the contract to request cancellation. If you miss date, you are tied to another 3 years. Read full review ScreenShots
