Huawei Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR) vs. SugarSync

Best for organizations with multiple servers and are super-careful about their data. The Service suits both small and Large scale organizations as there is different plans available and they cater the needs in a specific way, as required. SFS Turbo Server backups are not easy but the CBR Does it with ease.

When doing daily jobs, if you’re sharing large files, I think Dropbox works a lot better but if you have a system where you’re working within that system and you want to be able to work with that system and have certain folders that you have access to all the time then SugarSync might be just the ticket.

• It provides enormous amount of storage for cheaper cost
• Compatible with all servers and device to access files
• All types of files can stored
• Highly secured
• Faster and easier to access

• Sync files in any folder - rather than forcing you to store them in a certain place (Although this can be confusing too)
• Works in the background - although this is true for all
• You can share with others - including those who do not use SugarSync

• Support from Huawei Cloud Backup and Recovery (CBR) team is not good. They take so much time in addressing the query and to solve the problem which we have encountered due to some technical error or glitches.
• The synchronization process is very slow and we need a good internet connection as files get paused and we need to start the action manually which become difficult task sometime.
• The price for storage is very expensive when we need some extra storage as compared to other cloud service providers.

• Can only think of one thing. I have helped others to get going with SugarSync and they if they have problems it is understanding the cloud.... So maybe (if it dosen't exist already) I would like to have a animation of the proces with "flying" folders between desktops, clouds etc. Otherwise SugarSync is just great.

1. Freemium model is the ideal marketing for an app like this. 2. Now their sync methods with Android are worse

Cloud Backup and Recovery by Huawei is more cost effective when I compare it with its Amazon Counterpart, it has more features and the recovery time is way above what the AWS Backup offers. The policies available for data backup is also more flexible with Huawei, which makes making custom policies easier

SugarSync, like all solutions, has its place in the data storage stack within a company. The main reason SugarSync is better than the other solutions is that it enables me to leave my hard drive organized and keep my existing file trees. I don't have to constantly move or copy files to a specific folder if I want them backed up.

• Most of our costs reduced by 20%
• Best for ROI
• Easier and faster to perform backups
• Not good with iOS devices

• There were some opensource alternatives but we wanted something with better support which SugarSync offers.
• We achieved faster project collaboration with SugarSync.
