IBM InfoSphere Information Server vs. Stibo Systems Multidomain MDM

Information Server is extremely useful to replace manual developments that require a lot of coding effort. It significantly increases the productivity of the initial development and the future maintenance of the processes since it has a visual development environment with self-documentation.

Stibo Systems is a solution for companies with spare data to start doing Business Intelligence Analysis and forecasts. Several micro-operations of the companies are still managed by worksheets like Excel on desktops and sometimes on the cloud like Google Sheets. For these scenarios, the industries need to integrate this "outside of the system" data to analyze it. I recommend that Stibo Systems load all the worksheets to avoid losing data. Stibo needs improvement in Business Intelligence and Machine Learning.

• IIS best for ETL ,not ELT , and many and diffrent source systems.
• It also can process big data , unstuctured data
• It is not only DWH , you can use infosphere for analys and see the bigger architecture of your OLTP systems

• I would be nice to have a new web development environment for DataStage.
• Connectivity Packs such as Pack for SAP Application are a little pricey.
• It is confusing for new developers the possibility of developing jobs using different execution engines such as Parallel or Server.

• PDX which is newly launched and it looks very messy with so many configurations
• Digital asset handilng is still lacking features depth
• Product license is very expensive

It's a very powerful tool but made for the more IT focused user vs. a typical business user. Our team has knowledge of both sides but if we were to provide this to another internal team such as marketing or product, it would be a challenge due to functionality not being available in both their web app (user friendly) and workbench (backend focused)

DataStage is more robust and stable than ODI The ability to perform complex transformations or implement business rules is much more developed in DS

Stibo has an easy-to-use API to use as DATA as a Service. I like SAP Master Data Governance, but I think Stibo has more specialization in integrating the relationships among the data tables. And then expose this data in the web API as a service. Stipo has documentation of cases for Retail and Logistics and how to integrate this spare data.

• Reduce training costs of various technologies.

• Since I have this program I can safely say that our customers feel more comfortable in each of the business processes and relationships with our company.
• Stibo Systems Multidomain MDM is a great help that gives its users agility to manage and manipulate all their master data, this program is a total guarantee.
