Infor Learning Management (LMS) vs. Totara LMS

We have enjoyed how easy it is to get training to employees, both onsite and off, as it is a cloud based solution. We previously had a myriad of applications to try and deliver, track, and report on trainings. Infor Learning Management allows for a quick look at where we are at within our business as well as an in depth dive of each users certification process. Our only request is the cloud platform be more accessible for data mining. With our current BI offerings we bring most of the data on premises and this involves a few hoops currently.

As a real estate services company with properties (& employees) in six states, Totara LMS is well suited for implementing and our employee learning platform to our many team members that work remotely and cannot benefit from regular in-person learning courses. Totara LMS's comprehensive and customizable reporting system also allows us to accurately review and tell the story of employee performance and talent development, while tailoring this reporting to the needs of different internal stakeholders.

• It currently doesn't support offline content reading on Mobile. This support would be really helpful to read while offline.
• If one liked to purchase some training material or content built-in shopping cart is missing.

• Reporting can be a little inflexible - sometimes, the report cannot be customized to have all the columns you need as they are not available from that area of the LMS.
• Graphic reporting needs some more work to be a bit more professional looking.

I am giving 8 instead of 10 because we need to implement some new features in the system and this is a long process to accomplish. If it was easier and shorter, I would give a 10. Also, lately we are facing some technical issues which impacted some users experience, but Certpoint is working hard to catch up on this.

The support for Infor Learning Management was quite prompt and were able to resolve the issues within the SLA

Easy to access both local support and support/advice from other Totara LMS users as we keep in regular contact as a part of the totara government users group. Our vendor also keeps in touch with this group and a lot of knowledge is shared. It's easy to access the Totara LMS users academy, and one of my administrators has also set up a local forum where they ask each other questions and share knowledge as well. Our vendor is easy to access via our support plan and we have monthly catch-ups with our account manager where we hear about anything new coming up.

Infor Learning Management was selected because the organization owned other Lawson/Infor products and we were concerned about the integration. Ease of integration was a primary selection criteria. The price was also better given the products we already owned.

• We have alleviated work load on persons monitoring and tracking trainings
• We have been able to deliver trainings to remote areas previously not available
• We have been able to reduce the need for physical trainers covering the same topic, live and in person.
• We have been able to standardize the data being taught to our employees
• We have reduced head count based on the ability to track and manage trainings.

• Totara LMS has helped increase our employee retention by 15%.
• Totara LMS has drastically improved our employee learning and development processes that weren't in place prior to having this system.
• Totara LMS has decreased the time the onboarding process takes by 1 day.
