Bizview vs. LivePlan

My favorite part is using if for analytical review reports, especially budget to actual reviews. I can make changes to the GL based on issues found during the review and the report updates immediately without having to update, re-key, verify changes, etc. I know it is going to be updated and correct every time.

All businesses require solutions and tools for organization and control of expenses, spreadsheets were always the first option, but since the arrival of LivePlan, all work is easier and more automated. With LivePlan we have charts and graphs that are automatically created based on our data, this is a great time and money saver. LivePlan is a tool that has worked from day one and has met our expectations in creating the total budget.

• Once a worksheet has been created, you can change a single cell and update the entire report. This makes it much easier than recreating a report every time you start.
• It draws data directly from our database that can be filtered down in various ways. This allows us to get the data that we really need quicker.

• It makes it easy and simple to plan and budget the business.
• It allows creating of accurate business forecasts.
• It has detailed yet easy to use and customize built-in templates to help you get along with business planning easily.
• It integrates and works perfectly well woth accounting tools like QuickBooks such that it is easy to import the accounting data.

• Access to comprehensive training for new users is lacking. While the pay-based BizNet University has some useful videos it doesn't allow for other learning styles.
• Having to create a separate OCBC data source and linked server for each arm of business opened is sometimes a hassle.

• UX: It's beyond time for an overhaul, especially on mobile. It can make the app seem dated.
• The accounting software integration has been prone to break and need to be re-setup, though that seems to have improved.

Lack of communication from BizNet on new policies with the resellers, changes in the policies that affect the client aren't positive in my opinion

Excel knowledge is a prerequisite to use BizNet well.

We have only had a few occasions to call on the support team over 4 years, but every time our need was met in a superior manner.

We went pretty seamlessly into BizNet, but could have had lots of trouble if the professional service was not aware of our set up and use.

FRX - Great Plains Report Writer - These do produce financial reports but are much more tedious to set up. BizNet is much more flexible and easier to use. The functionality is an Excel add-on which allows us to use the powerful functionality of Excel as well as Biznet's functionality to do data retrieval from Sage 100 general ledger.

We did not really find a similar solution. All other solutions are focused on project management, [there's] nothing on generating a business plan. There is nothing on this level that helps people without any business experience write the plan. They have samples, instructions what to write where, how to prepare for pitching, and generate dashboards. Nothing in this market gets anywhere close to this solution.

• BizNet continues to pay for itself.
• I am sure we haven't even learned to use half of what it is capable of and their customer service is top notch.
• I would say that BizNet continues to have a positive impact on our entire financial portion of our business.

• It has made it easy to create sensible budgets and run our business within the proposed budgets to avoid overspending.
• It allows us to keenly follow up and keep track of how the business is performing thus getting to know on which ares we should improve.
• It helps us have accurate future insights of the position of our business thanks to its forecasting functionality.
• It helps us to create outstanding business plans and fund the plans which help us grow our business by improving its productivity.
