Kahoot!Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Considered Both Products
Kahoot!
Chose Kahoot!
I think all these products have their own merits. We actually use all of them but some things lend themselves better to Kahoot!. It's also multifunctional and easy to set up and use in comparison to the others.
Chose Kahoot!
I think Kahoot! is more fun because of the graphics and of the soundtracks particularly spot on and engaging. It makes people feel excited about the competition. The other platforms have less of those aspects.
Chose Kahoot!
Kahoot! beats every other tool in the podium and animations.

The community is amazing! Many people share their quizzes and templates, so it's easy to find what you want to create and solve it faster.
Chose Kahoot!
Kahoot! is well tailored to fit the requirements. Whatever you look for is found in Kahoot! therefore it saves you a lot of time in designing training programs while other applications/platforms require a lot of efforts and it is hard to find your way through on the web and …
Chose Kahoot!
Kahoot! is very engaging and set up to run quizzes as knowledge competitions.
Chose Kahoot!
I forgot the names of the other products like Kahoot. I think that summarizes how close I am to favoring Kahoot within this category. In our field when it's webinar time we always look forward to Kahoot sessions in between or at the end of the session. It is great to have …
Chose Kahoot!
It is easy to use, more convenient and easy to understand to use. Other application needs to choose first the user photo before joining the game. Most of them has a lag or crash moment.
Chose Kahoot!
I only experience Kahoot and joinmyquizz and have an enjoyable experience. For me, Kahoot is more user-friendly compared to the other game tool. Also, it is not confusing in terms of questions and answers and you will see the rank leader right away. I think Kahoot is most …
Chose Kahoot!
None, I haven't used any other product aside from Kahoot.
Chose Kahoot!
I have not left a review for Quizlet on the website, but it is the closest experience I have had within a similar field group. I've never used Quizlet within a work environment, however, I like that Quizlet allows you to establish your own questions and tests and apply that to …
Chose Kahoot!
Kahoot is easier to use, we are more familiar with Kahoot and how it is played. Easy to explain to clients the mechanics of the game. Kahoot is more popular to use when it comes to online games, learning check and fun for clients.
Chose Kahoot!
Kahoot is more interactive than Quizlet and Google Classroom providing more engaging learning tools when using. I like Kahoot over Quizlet because of the choice and fun activities that students and teachers can use to check understanding and expand concepts. It gets students …
Chose Kahoot!
Most of the time, the organizers of the webinars or training I attended are using Kahoot. It's fun to use, the fun music while using it, and the cute images. It makes the event lively and exciting while playing.
Chose Kahoot!
It is a slightly different program. Kahoot allows for a game against everyone while Quizlet allows the user to play various learning games such as matching and flashcards. Quizlet Live is similar in that there is a gaming aspect but the game is different in that Kahoot everyone …
Chose Kahoot!
Kahoot is better for my competitive students, they love seeing their name constantly on the leaderboard. Kahoot has more lessons to chose from and my students simply like it more than Quizizz. Quizizz is good for more formal assessments, while Kahoot is better for more whole …
Chose Kahoot!
Poll Everywhere had some cool and handy features but didn't offer a robust amount of options for our team, offering tools for internal and external communications. Poll Everywhere also offered a wide array of integrations that were extremely useful but weren't enough to sway …
Chose Kahoot!
Kahoot is more engaging than Quizlet. Quizlet is simple and clean. Kahoot's user interface is a bit brighter and busier. Students pay more attention to Kahoot, and request to use it when reviewing information from a lesson or chapter. Kahoot can be used for multiple components …
Chose Kahoot!
We've used Qualtrics in the past to collect the information, but it really isn't designed to be used as a "quiz" feature. We have to export each student's answer individually and that's a tedious process. There's also no automatic feedback. We've also used Quizziz a few times …
Chose Kahoot!
I did not use any other application.
Chose Kahoot!
None, Kahoot! is the market leader.
Chose Kahoot!
Blue Canoe includes games to provide users more means to learn the language in a different way. This program marks each day and sets goals for users to improve participation and engagements. However, it does not have an interface that students and teachers can both work …
Chose Kahoot!
We have also used myQuiz.org which is a totally free alternative. We use them both right now. Kahoot! has more features and looks more polished but myQuiz gets the job done if you need to quickly throw together a simple quiz competition at no charge. myQuiz isn't suited for …
Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Canva is the big obvious one. I prefer Microsoft Powerpoint Online because theres just too much random user interface bloat and popups all over that make no sense. AI slop and undecipherable interface elements make it difficult for me to justify spending the time learning how …
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
All of the above have their strengths, Canva has integrated AI tools that can help develop a presentation quickly. Google slides works much like Microsoft Powerpoint Online and can bring in a deck natively to convert. You can also do some more in slides as far as collaborating …
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Easier interface to parse through.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
In terms of overall performance (drive integration, media management, speed, collaboration) I think Microsoft Powerpoint Online is way behind Google Sheets or even FIGMA. General productiveness fell greatly after our company forced the usage of Microsoft Powerpoint Online, …
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Microsoft Power is still the easiest product due to it have matured over the years and integrates well with the rest of the other MS Office products. Also since the product is very popular sharing or working together on a slide deck is simplified.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Powerpoint's ease of use makes it stand out.
You can build custom presentations easily, and even those without extensive skills can do this.
It makes it a good tool for a whole organization, rather than each team having its own tool.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Microsoft PowerPoint Online may not have all features of the desktop version, but still it has some necessary tools and features which is why we use it. We also use the desktop version, and Google slides [another presentation tool which helps us store files to drive]. …
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
I have used Prezi also in my last company along with Microsoft Powerpoint Online. But I feel that Prezi has also good features like designs, frames, themes etc but this tool is really complex to use as compared to Microsoft Powerpoint Online.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
So other than Microsoft Powerpoint Online we are using Google slides which is available with the google drive, Creating presentations with Microsoft Powerpoint Online is much more easy and less time consuming.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
I have used Canva and Google Slides and Powerpoint is any day better than them. Especially now Powerpoint is online too and hence Google slides is no more useful for us.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
Microsoft PowerPoint online (and its offline sister) are the industry standard for a reason. They have been around the longest, and most people are familiar with how to use them. The competitive software packages are all built on the same foundation as PowerPoint, but none of …
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
The most similar online presentation I've found is google slides. PowerPoint online keeps more characteristics of the document (animations, text typography, etc.) when uploading from a desktop.
Chose Microsoft Powerpoint Online
It's far more compatible with existing PowerPoint presentations. Period. Nothing else compares.

In my encounters with Kahoot, It is a great thing that Kahoot gets attendees to listen and interact during webinar sessions. It helps presenters ensure that people are listening and learning something. With Kahoot, it is easier to convey messages and learnings during webinars as attendees look forward to answering all questions right during Kahoot time.

I love this tool so much personally. Since I am in a job where I have to make the report everyday. I am working as a technical associate and we receive so many incidents of different severity. So at the end of every shift we all have to make the reports and need to show them to the managements, Since onshore and offshore are working in this project So Microsoft Powerpoint Online is the best suitable tool for us to make the report and presentation and they all can access it from anywhere in the organisation.

Pros
  • Useful for either, in-person or online classes: it can work from a projector or screen in in-person classes, or by sharing the screen in online classes.
  • Excellent to get an idea of the understanding or knowledge level of a group of people: depending on the intention of the game, the professor or person in charge of it can make and change the questions to address certain points.
  • Easy to use for both professors and students: Kahoot is intuitive, simple, and fun to use.
  • Interactive and engaging: Kahoot is a game designed to work as a tool for professors, which makes it perfect to use with students.

  • The best part it you can create, share and maintain your presentations online
  • You can access your presentations from anywhere at any time
  • You can include flash files and video objects that will make your presentation even better
  • You can customize your presentation according to your requirements if you don't want to use default templates

Cons
  • Having sometimes large classes means that I cannot use Kahoot! as it only allows a very limited amount of participants.
  • The above is the main issue and other competitor platforms (Mentimeter) do much better on this
  • There is also very limited choice with the basic account in terms of types of questions. Some sort of corporate license might help Universities purchasing the advanced subscription (which costs too much for a single professional) and have access to all the features.

  • Sometimes formatting is difficult. It is different than formatting in the application.
  • When creating shapes, the shape will not adjust and will be frozen if I want to make it bigger or smaller.
  • Sometimes certain fonts do not show up the same in the application vs online.

I would rather change to other tool if I could. Microsoft Powerpoint Online was top-down forced without a real technical (maybe financial only) reason, and I think the product itself looks like a poor adaptation of the offline version. In my experience, it cannot be properly used in real time collaboration, can't handle large media (images/videos), has low performance even for a single user, it is a nightmare.

Usability
The site's currently layout feels busy. If you are not a seasoned Kahoot user, it is easy to be distracted and overwhelmed by the information presented. I would not recommend this site to a novice computer user. If the user is tech-savvy and willing to navigate the help topics provided by the site, lessons and games can be created more easily with time and practice.

Its about as usable as regular powerpoint to the normal user. The lack of some tools is fine and will go unnoticed. When presenting, you'll see animations may lag behind a bit, so I still recommend downloading to desktop to share content in a presentation once it is finalized.

Support Rating
The information that Kahoot shares on its blog and support center is updated frequently and provides many ideas for ways to use the platform. I have personally received timely support from Kahoot for any issues I have encountered. Their dedication to their users is amazing. The company is incredibly receptive to suggestions or ideas from their community.

Return on Investment
  • We use the free version so there is definitely ROI for us.
  • It provides easy access to a quiz feature without having to use complicated software.
  • So many people are using it now that some students seem to be getting a little "over it."

  • Using this collaborative version of Microsoft PowerPoint online has saved us a lot of aggravation and allowed us to more efficiently create necessary presentations for the company.
  • I would say that using it has reduced costs and increased efficiency simply due to the fact that we're saving time and maintaining our momentum.
  • One of the best features is that anyone on the team can go in and tweak the live presentation without having to create additional versions that then need to be circulated.
