WellSky (formed from the merger of Kinnser Software and Mediware) offers WellSky Home Health (formerly Kinnser Agency Manager), a home health agency management software emphasizing operations automation (e.g. scheduling, intake and electronic visit verification, etc.)
MatrixCare is well suited for the size of this company and its budget. The support is awesome, very professional, polite and knows what they're doing. It is also well suited for my company based on the type of healthcare, LTC, and rehab. Although I don't use the MDS features, I hear my colleagues say how much they like using them. The providers like that they are able to create their progress notes right into Matrix and I like that too because there are no paper notes needing to scan. The providers also find the dashboard very helpful for knowing what orders need to be signed and which patients are due for visits. I am unaware of any scenarios where MatrixCare is not well suited for my company, as far as my role.
I think Kinnser Home Health is wonderful for all small, medium and large size agencies because you can't get any better from an employee perspective, and that is paramount to home health. I also love that you can go between Home Health and Hospice if you have both divisions in one system easily (a toggle button at the top of the screen). I think the financial management system is challenging when you are a large agency, but I still don't think there is anything better on the market, and I would highly recommend it to anyone
There appears to be no configuration for the site to work well on a mobile phone. Difficult to capture patient signatures and save charts in progress.
No integration with other software systems, ie; no way to import new users from an HRIS.
Just some standard reports available, no room for any DIY customized reporting.
No way to set job title-specific User Profiles to grant the same user role access to specific disciplines.
Time-consuming and tedious user profile set up, have to remember to go back into the newly created profile to update the demographics of the user. Not an intuitive programming feature - it should be a logical workflow to bring you through the steps of creating a user, assigning roles, and then updating the demographics. Lots of room for user errors in forgetting to finish all three steps.
No tool for a supervisory role for clinicians to be assigned as a lead over a group of other clinicians to ensure that they are completing their charting timely and correctly without giving that supervisor access to the ENTIRE patient roster.
Easy across the board. Multiple disciplines use it from nursing, to therapy. It is usable on the road with a mobile device or in computer. It is user friendly and offers a clean and efficient point of care and documentation center. I would recommend to most disciplines that use it for home health
I have not had any problems with MatrixCare; however, I do not use the whole system and have not had to call MatrixCare or have support from them so I'm not the best to comment on that.
It's very good. For complex upgrades that I request, they don't obviously get to them immediately, but for all technical issues or training issues they are 100% on target
MatrixCare is being used as it was already implemented with the branch of business that was acquire, but, MatrixCare does the best out of all of our different clinical based systems
I'm hard-pressed to speak on behalf of the entire company, which consists of seven locations and I'm just the Health Information Manager. As far as my daily objectives, one positive impact is I no longer need a full-time assistant.
Another positive impact is the reduction of paper. Since I started here, there have been no paper records. MatrixCare provides a well-organized chart that is is easy to navigate through.
A third positive impact is related to the reduction of paper, ROI (Release of Information). MatrixCare provides records in a PDF format, which most receiving entities and individuals require.
