Webtrends provides web, social, and mobile analytics and other software solutions related to marketing intelligence.
Webtrends Social offers social media marketers an abundance of tools needed for monitoring, managing campaigns and resolving customer issues in the social media space. In regards to the pricing, I would say it is less appropriate for small to medium-sized businesses where the social marketing aspect is an add-on or supplemental to the main marketing channels.

MutualMind gives us a view into the reach of social content we produce on behalf of our advertisers and the engagement that content generates with shoppers.
It provided strong metrics on followers, contest entries, and shares.
I could easily track the effectiveness of campaigns in reaching and engaging consumers. Beyond building hype around the product, it was easy to track goals metrics. I had access to every metric I needed to gauge campaign effectiveness.
The tools gave me fine-grained control over the look and feel making it very easy to match my company's branding.
MutualMind gauges sentiment around social conversations but does so with the standard margin of error found in most social analytics products. The nature of human conversation makes it difficult for a machine to categorize sentiment with 100% accuracy. MutualMind gets sentiment right between 50% to 70% which is within acceptable industry averages for this type of product. With additional tuning (which MutualMind provides) the accuracy levels will increase.

As a company that's only 3 years old, MutualMind's toolset is quite usable but it could use some tweaks in the user interface, which they are constantly working on.
During a recent upgrade period, MutualMind had a small window of unavailability. I am confident they have addressed the root cause and do not foresee any future issues.
The product's performance has improved greatly in the last year and we anticipate seeing additional improvements in coming months based no planned infrastructure changes.
This was a very straightforward process. First, we customized the look and feel to make it just the way we wanted it. When we were done, we notified our rep who then did some work on their side before pushing the site live. This all worked flawlessly
After evaluating Webtrends Social, I'd have to say in regards to the cost and the overall capabilities of the solution that other tools such as Social Sprout offer a more competitive package. For the amount you are paying on a monthly basis you are being offered tools that can get the job done at a better price point to warrant getting a tool for the department.

By showing increases in engagement and share of voice (defined as the amount of content generated for our advertisers versus the amount of content generated for their competitors over time) we are able to correlate content to incremental sales data provided by our advertisers.
