Overall Satisfaction

  • It provided strong metrics on followers, contest entries, and shares.
  • I could easily track the effectiveness of campaigns in reaching and engaging consumers. Beyond building hype around the product, it was easy to track goals metrics. I had access to every metric I needed to gauge campaign effectiveness.
  • The tools gave me fine-grained control over the look and feel making it very easy to match my company's branding.
  • Nothing. It worked perfectly.
  • Develop a strong following on Facebook by use of sharing.
  • Build a strong email database for future marketing campaigns - particularly campaigns designed around the end-of-year holidays.
  • Build brand hype.
Unfortunately, they changed the pricing structure and simultaneously offered less support. They did offer premium support, but it was very expensive.

Product Usage

  • We used their social app to gain likes on Facebook and also to grow our email list for seasonal promotions, especially around the end-of-year holidays.

Evaluation and Selection

We had used an app that had few customizations to run promotions on Facebook.
We looked at Wildfire.

Ultimately, we went with Webtrends Social because of superior customization capabilities. Webtrends Social allows customizations on every piece of text, while Wildfire did not. At the time, if using the standard package, you had to work with the Wildfire team to do that level of customization.

You have to pay for an elite level package to get more more customizability.

Implementation

This was a very straightforward process. First, we customized the look and feel to make it just the way we wanted it. When we were done, we notified our rep who then did some work on their side before pushing the site live. This all worked flawlessly.

They didn't have any at the time.
It took a few phone calls to understand the gist of how to use and customize the app, as well as being able to download all of the data. In our previous product, there was no way to download the data directly from app We had to go through support who downloaded data on our behalf and then emailed it to us.

Support

They were fantastic. Highly responsive.
No - Premium support was previously part of the package and we did not want to pay extra for this.
