MYOB vs. Proliant

MYOB is suitable for any business. I have two different businesses and both use MYOB effectively. I use MYOB to pay wages every fortnight for both businesses. This enables me to track exactly what is happening with everyone's different sick leave and holiday entitlements easily. I'm also able to keep track of expenditure and balance and reconcile the accounts against bank statements.

Overall, I would generally recommend Proliant to a colleague as I think the system and structure has great bones and is generally very easy to use. However, if a colleague was needing a system with a robust reporting system or access to immediate support, I would be less likely to recommend the system.

• MYOB is very easy to navigate and find the correct information.
• The Help section was very straight forward and very easy to learn.
• MYOB was a great accounting tool for our business as it provided the accountant, sales, etc all of the information they need all in one place.

• Reporting is limited to data that is pulled by pay period--not by date worked, so if trying to determine how much an employee earned during a quarter--you have to calculate this manually
• Employee records are limited to admin only viewing--so managers can not see payrates, upload documents to employee files or update expiration dates to licenses, etc
• User guides in the knowledge base are out of date and don't cover the recent updates to the system--or outline processes that are no defunct
• Limited integrations with other HR platforms are available. Ex--outside ATS, candidate assessment tools

Our clients seems hesitant to change softwares so I don't see why we wouldn't be renewing with MYOB

Still 10 for me, I have no problem at all using this toll even it hangs sometimes, I need to log in again to refresh it and it always ask to update the MYOB app. i Also like the security of this platform, iT always asks for the code (before logging in.

Proliant is pretty easy to maneuver and get used to. There are some things than can be tedious but nothing too difficult where you have to spend hours to get it to work. The payroll processing is pretty straightforward and that's the core reason why we use their software.

MYOB accounting software basically works but looks and functions like 1998. Unfortunately their Antipiracy licensing system is absolutely TERRIBLE and verging on nearly criminal, scam! You must CONFIRM each and every data file and when it doesnt work you have to PAY THEM to fix their own file protection issues. If you dont pay them, they hold your data hostage as your company accounting information file becomes READ ONLY. Permantly, unless you pay them. This is a total extortion SCAM. I cannot believe a company can operate this way. With a lot of better product available... i dont imagine MYOB is going to survive much longer.

Not even close. Though I will say MYOB had a budget module where Zoho Books doesn't which is one thing severely lacking in Zoho Books. On the other hand, Zoho Books allows for payment processing integration without trying to get a cut from the process whereas MYOB allowed for payment processing but you had to go through their service only and it wasn't cheap.

Proliant is the only payroll software I have used, and I don't plan on changing that anytime soon. It gives me everything I need in simple, easy-to-use software. If I have questions they have quality customer service. I get calls weekly to change to other payroll services, and I don't consider changing because there is no need to change - I have everything I need here. Proliant does exactly the job I am looking for it to do.

• Made a life a lot easier by removing a lot of separate entries in multiple excel sheets
• With all of the relevant information in one place, it is easier to process payments.
• Most of the business only have one person doing the payroll compared to the team effort.

• i am not able to give this information because I don't believe our firm fully uses Proliant
• I was just made aware of some of the benefits Proliant can offer through this survey
• The only negative is that when the "pre-wire" requirement was activated this year, we were not told ahead of time and it caused a lot of confusion and delay when we tried to process the first partner payroll in January.
