Next.js vs. Singular

I love using Next.js — it's my go-to framework for new personal projects and work projects. The local development environment is quick, easy, and fun to use. The framework it uses, which puts an API that runs node in your pages subdirectory, is absolutely genius. No more middleware! It's good for quick projects and big projects alike. I wouldn't use Next.js if I did not want to heavily rely on serverless tech.

Singular is perfect for companies that have limited BI developer resources. If you work with more than a few media partners, Singular aggregates all pre-install metrics and automatically connects it to your BI data / MMP provider. This use is perfect for executives/directors that want to have a quick snapshot of their marketing spend. Singular also works well for media buyers that want to export Singular report as a base for creating optimization reports.

• Window sizing makes handling SSR pages odd, at times
• React can be easier to statically deploy

• Providing a clear solution to cross-device attribution and measurement: no vendor does this well currently.
• Ability to toggle advanced attribution models: first-last touch, time decay, etc.
• Comprehensive deep linking solution (similar to Branch).

When we report about a bug or a problem the support usually responds quickly and try to provide a solution/fix in a timely manner. I wish that they had a monitoring tool to notify me about bugs before I spot them myself.

Next.js takes the best parts of React and applies them to a full-stack dev environment. With a built-in serverless API, it's easy to boot up a web application in under an hour. With easy integration with tools like Firebase, Supabase, Stripe, and countless others, Next.js is a perfect tool for getting your idea out into the real world.

AppsFlyer is the top of mind MMP, while Singular would be my second choice with Adjust. AppsFlyer has a great UX and customer support. While Adjust is still lagging a little bit behind.
