Optymyze vs. SAP Sales Performance Management

It depends on the complexity of your selling process, the sales crediting and the number of associates. Small or large organizations who have a simple selling to incentive process; sell something and get paid will find Optymyze to be too much for them. Organizations who have multiple selling organizations who overlay each other and have complex selling will see benefits from a platform such as Optymyze

SAP Sales Performance Management from Success Factors works great if the incentive calculation is simple. However, if it contains a lot of constraints and filters or is dynamic, it is not friendly to changes or complexity in terms of configuration and time to calculate the incentives. The advantages of using SAP Sales Performance Management are that the process is controlled, the data is in the cloud, and the roles and permissions make it more secure.

• Incentive Compensation - It is able to calculate complex plans with complex sales crediting rules
• Quota Setting / Management - It provides the ability to properly tie quotas to performance and provide the visibility at the lowest level all the way through to executive leadership.

• Configurable out of the box.
• Allows for complex compensation rules (Rate tables, MDLTs, etc).
• Has the ability to build cross-channel (non-hierarchy) relationships. For us, this is very powerful.
• Can build a large data warehouse of commissionable data.
• Speed to market can be as fast as minutes.

• The front-end reporting functions were supported by a third-party platform at the time. It made it challenging to create reports on your own and relied on Optymyze to provide that type of work.
• The ability to map territories with similar function to a ZS Associates Territory Designer. Allowing to lasso areas and create "what-ifs"

• Using names to reference payees in the compensation platform, instead of their ID
• Allow an Advisor to see their compensation as well as how their employees compensation without requiring to proxy
• Expose all variables within the application to the dashboard, to allow them to be used for data insights, without requiring any extra work.

I would use this product if it were needed due to very complex plans/organization

My rate is 9 because there is always a way to improve a system. In this case the usability is high but there are some thing that could be improve like usability of report and the payment detail page and also clud be more and more useful is in lookuptable there are some orders or a research tab

Optymyze is not the cheapest nor most expensive product out there. What I found with the firm was the ability to deliver on its promises and be able to adapt to the business without getting outside of their comfort zone. Other products have a box that is too rigid while others are so complex, and so open, you might as well develop a home grown system

Faster implementation, more user-friendly interface, and lower reliance on IT made Sales Performance Management solutions from SAP SuccessFactors an easy choice over Xactly. SAP's allowance for complex modeling helped us choose it over Varicent. The faster development and high intuitive nature of Sales Performance Management solutions from SAP SuccessFactors also made it a better platform than previous usage of Performio.

• The efficiencies gained by moving from reports and spreadsheet alone has earned us a positive ROI.
• SAP Commissions speed to the market allows us to quickly and cheaply change our direction to meet market demands.
• Our sales force's engagement has drastically improved. We are now paying monthly instead of quarterly and have earned their trust.
