Oracle Primavera Submittal Exchange vs. RedTeam Flex

[Oracle Primavera Submittal Exchange] is very easy to train new users on it and have everyone on the same page. The daily reminder emails can be a pain but if there are documents needed from a trade it is a great way to remind the the it is in their ball of court to act accordingly and get the documents uploaded because there might be other trades waiting on them.

RedTeam does a good job of allowing the company to view information in a way that is helpful to them. The superintendents out in the field don't necessarily need to see all of the same information that the people in the office do, so field share has been great for helping them manage their projects and submit daily reports of job progress. I can see this program working for both small and large companies and with a few tweaks, I might rate it even higher.

• It is very easy to navigate the site and find what you are looking for.
• They have a great support team.
• It is easy to remind different trades via notification of there are documents or submittals needed for them.

• Inability to delete certain information such as old duplicate vendors, contacts, etc.
• I run into a lot of road blocks with obscure permissions
• Some reports have issues when printing

The interface if fairly intuitive and the graphic display of many forms and reports is much better than Procore. I started using Submittal Exchange about 17 years ago. Primavera has worked to add features, but I have not been able to integrate them all into my workflow. I still use the original features more than the new ones.

My company uses Submittal Exchange when required by the client. The cost is too expensive for us to select as an enterprise because other clients require that we use different software.

Procore is [a] product that we [are] familiar with as well because a few other companies that we have partnered with use Procore. The program is a good CPM, but RedTeam stands out to our company for the customer service. Over the years we have been able to communicate opportunities to make something more efficient and they have implemented some of those suggestions. That is invaluable to us.

• It has allowed us to manage our submittals better and get the back in a timely manner to schedule projects accordingly and keep the flow going.
• It can be a little time consuming to get the project data entered but if done right, it is worth it.

• It has eliminated the need for hundreds of spreadsheets for each job and has saved time overall
• It allows all facets of the company to see information as they need to see it
• It's a central place for everyone to store and access information rather than having files all over individual computers.
