Phorest vs. Xoom, a PayPal Service (personal use only)

It's well suited if you own a salon and are looking for a software to manage all of your needs - stock/inventory, staff schedules, client bookings and rebookings. It's more salon focused than clinic focused (e.g. if you have a wellness center it's not ideal for consent forms for example). Changing staff price offering is a bit time consuming.

Xoom is best suited to send and receive money between two people who live in different countries, not only that we can also send money to our friends, colleagues, family members directly in their bank accounts. They have a great currency exchange functionality that directly converts our received money into our local currency, and deposits it into our bank account within a few minutes. The only drawback is that not many people know about it, it needs good marketing so that more people can use this service, and from my experience, I can say it is very secure and a good competitor of Payoneer.

• Very fast transfer and very secure as being of PayPal.
• Receiver don't need to download the app or use Xoom.
• It supports bank and debit card to transfer funds and same with the receiver.

• Better UI/UX - more intuitive to use
• Better customer service support
• Would prefer more hand holding during onboarding experience

• Some destinations take longer to get delivered to.
• Higher amounts of money are harder to transfer.
• High fees when trying to add funds to new card.

I don't see any other service that is so versatile and which offers such a breadth of services.

It's one of the most easy to use and intuitive platforms. The app is very powerful as well.

The implementation was largely successful. Since this was a large shift from normal practices, we faced a few teething problems, but largely I'd say it went well.

Phorest is a more modern software, although it can still be more intuitive to use its much better than other options out there. I feel it works great for someone who has been using salon software for many years and wants to upgrade to something more modern, or for someone who is switching over from pen and paper to manage their appointments

We agreed to select Xoom as the main payment method since it had more flexible options. It gives the user a full guarantee of transacting safely and when there is a conflict the customer support team acts quickly. The charges for sending and receiving money are relatively low as compared to other platforms. The mobile application has biometric login features making it difficult for unauthorized users to access confidential information.

• We have had an uptick in payment processing times.
• We receive payments from customers on time with no lag between invoice and payment dates.
• Overall Xoom has literally added to our bottom line by allowing more than a physical check payment option.
