Overall Satisfaction with Xoom, a PayPal Service

We use Xoom to settle bills and clear work-related expenses. Colleagues who travel a lot need to be reimbursed for their expenses - and we use Xoom to do that. This is particularly helpful as we have teams in more than 10 countries.

  • Large coverage worldwide
  • Easy to use app
  • Large exchange markup compared to competitors.
  • Linking with PayPal balance is tricky.
  • Low daily limits
  • Same day settlement
  • Worldwide coverage
  • Mobile app
  • Positive impact with respect to same day transfer of funds.
  • Cash pickup is another plus.
  • Large markup fees is a huge let down.
Xoom has worldwide coverage - most of the competition doesn't. Also, converting currency is painful in other apps. If only the markup fees were lower, Xoom would be a killer service!

Xoom is suited to settle a large volume of payments across multiple countries. It is well suited when the workforce is spread across a wide geography. It is however not suitable in places where the workforce is present only in one country and settlement can happen along with the payroll cycle.

Using Xoom, a PayPal Service

3 - They are in finance and payroll.
1 - We have people with finance and accounting skills that use Xoom.
  • Settling expenses.
  • Enabling hassle free travel expenses.
  • We've used Xoom in the usual way. Nothing out of the box.
  • Disbursement of gift certificates if that will be made available.
I don't see any other service that is so versatile and which offers such a breadth of services.

Evaluating Xoom, a PayPal Service and Competitors

Yes - Google Pay was replaced by Xoom as Google Pay didn't have interconnected worldwide coverage.

We wouldn't change it.

The implementation was largely successful. Since this was a large shift from normal practices, we faced a few teething problems, but largely I'd say it went well.

It's one of the most easy to use and intuitive platforms. The app is very powerful as well.
