RedTeam Flex vs. Resource Guru

RedTeam does a good job of allowing the company to view information in a way that is helpful to them. The superintendents out in the field don't necessarily need to see all of the same information that the people in the office do, so field share has been great for helping them manage their projects and submit daily reports of job progress. I can see this program working for both small and large companies and with a few tweaks, I might rate it even higher.

It is very well suited when different branches of the company reside in different countries or time zones. It allows the project manager to efficiently keep track of the progress of their team members. It reduces the need for intensive calls where the manager asks for an extensive check in and update from each individual person. It also allows the project manager to update tasks and timelines as needed.

• Building a proper estimate/proposal
• Managing the project from start to finish, including any changes
• The accounting process works well with our quickbooks, making the process for accounting easy

• We can color by client, project, booker for clear picture.
• There are filters to select particular resources for need of our event.
• We can easily see booked and free time.

• Inability to delete certain information such as old duplicate vendors, contacts, etc.
• I run into a lot of road blocks with obscure permissions
• Some reports have issues when printing

Procore is [a] product that we [are] familiar with as well because a few other companies that we have partnered with use Procore. The program is a good CPM, but RedTeam stands out to our company for the customer service. Over the years we have been able to communicate opportunities to make something more efficient and they have implemented some of those suggestions. That is invaluable to us.

Resource Guru is the only product of it's kind that I have used regularly. Slack is comparable in allowing communication between teams, but doesn't have nearly the functionality of Resource Guru. Resource Guru is the only product that I am aware of that manages tasks and deadlines between various team members, and can be accessed by all members.

• It has eliminated the need for hundreds of spreadsheets for each job and has saved time overall
• It allows all facets of the company to see information as they need to see it
• It's a central place for everyone to store and access information rather than having files all over individual computers.

• It's easy to assign work to the resources.
• Resources can be filtered with various criteria as per the project needs.
• We get clear picture of assigned tasks and hence project progress.
