Socialtext (discontinued) vs. Starmind vs. Titan.email

We use Social Text as a platform to air our issues with different departments. We voice our concerns and suggestions so we can help find a solution to the problems we incur on a daily basis. We need to have social text as an app so we can communicate in real time not only during work hours.

Shared knowledge is essential to widely distribute knowledge among the various sectors of the company. Knowledge is power and we have discovered this with Starmind, where we are all capable of solving different problems without the need to work in a certain sector or not.

Titan is a company that is well suited for corporations who need to manage professional services like data sheets and provide information to their clients. It is helpful to create more profitable margins and track excactly what is going on. They have great environmental resources and can support any going green initiatives

• Version history - Always keeps the edited versions and one can revert back any time
• Creating and Editing an article is very easy and intutive
• Sharing the articles with peers

• Anonymous requests, with fast and totally efficient results, which is amazing, most of the time he finds the person trained to solve certain problems.
• The search system has filters that help us prioritize what we are really looking for, in this way the search is much more efficient.
• Collaborative tools undoubtedly help us to solve communication problems, streamline work processes and achieve work success in carrying out our projects.

• Search needs a ton of improvements. It was very slow a year ago
• Search result quality was also not that good
• I know they have improved their UI recently but when i used it last year it did not really have any design elements which could be used to make the articles look more presentable. It was important for us as we used it for external communication as well.

• I'm still not familiar with its interface in a comfortable way. It seems to me that there are functions whose potential can be exploited more but they are not visual, instead there are many others that can get in the way a little in the daily use of the platform.

We have a lot of info in Socialtext already. It would be hard to get all that info out and port it to a different system

I frankly like Confluence better than socialtext because of the speed and the quality of search. They also have better design elements which can help make the articles pleasant to the eyes.

Bloomfire is an excellent tool, it provides multiple similar features, these platforms being intelligent in the search for shared knowledge, however, Starmind seems to me to have better search options and interaction actions between users.

Titan is better for just managing documents and planning in comparsion with GitHub which we still use in order to manage branches and builds of software that we are working on

• We promote interactions with the other depts
• We listen and have discussions

• The effective search for the right person to attend specific commercial projects has allowed us to hit the target, since we are exploiting the potential of each of the company's personnel regardless of the department to which they belong, we diversify, learn and adapt to changes, in favor of always achieving the proposed objectives and achieving better performance and work efficiency.
