Staffbase vs. Workhuman

Staffbase is well-suited for companies who want to drive and measure employee engagement through meaningful content. I wouldn't recommend it for companies that maintain a complex SharePoint environment with years of legacy content. It is not intended to be a CMS system. It is a dynamic platform that makes it's easy to share information through the mobile or desktop app and email and push notifications. You don't need a large team to manage it.

The Workhuman platform is overall a fantastic product. We have seen great adoption with the system in regards to our desk population. There has been a learning curve with our older deskless population, however, Workhuman is already developing a more tangible solution to assist that demographic to engage with the platform. Again, overall, a great system that focuses on spreading gratitude with actual meaning behind the recognition moments and not just checking a box off your company's list with yet another meaningless gift card being given away.

• Easy to use back-end for posting and managing content—you don't have to rely on IT for support.
• Software update releases are included in the licensing fees. No need to get outside developers involved in making changes to the platform.
• Employee segmentation is extremely easy with an API from your HRIS system.
• Translations are a breeze!
• Creating forms on the go is easy and efficient!
• Use your existing organization's SSO for ease of use and security.

• Globoforce makes the process of rewarding employees who do a great job easy for managers and leaders internationally
• Globoforce helped me write kind electronic thank-you notes that came through to their inboxes in great, simple formats

• The graphics could use a little boost. The design tends to look a bit basic (I'm not sure if it's the company's or Workhuman's, though).
• I think some features (like seeing who awarded you) could be more intuitive—it does not show easily, and sometimes, it takes some time until I notice that.

The system is straightforward to use. Only a few steps need to be completed to recognize someone for their hard work or contribution. However, a couple of areas need work: 1) A way to request points for recognition. Currently there is no way to do this 2) A way to easily send a recognition to anyone in the company.

The company has an in-house customer support team. They can be reached by email or phone. The response time is good and I do not have anything negative to say about them. The good thing is that the hours of operation are 24/7 so one can reach them anytime with questions about reward management.

Since we selected Staffbase, they are one of a few companies that haven't been acquired or changed its business model. We would have invested a lot of time and money rebuilding our intranet otherwise. We selected them because of the standard features included, the free updates, and the reasonable licensing fees. They understand the value of communicating with non-desk employees and keeping them engaged.

me personally never used a different recoginition platform before using Workhuman. since i started working at my current company, Workhuman has met our company needs with its easy to use interface. strong focus on company values. it's been great fit for our culture and goals. we are excited to keep using the platform

• Engagement levels increased for non-desk employees without access to a PC.
• We leverage the tool as part of our crisis management activities, without having to invest in an additional platform.
• We can issue surveys quickly without investing in additional engagement tools.

• We are still within our first year of adoption, so we are still looking at baseline numbers, however, the quality of writing in our recognition moments has greatly improved because the moment can be captured right from a phone in the moment.
