Overall Satisfaction with Workhuman

We use this application to recognize our team members formally. This provides visibility to the good work that our team is performing. It also allows each team member to focus on positive outcomes instead of the shortcomings of any particular effort. We use this tool to also assist us in forming a habit of recognition. It is hard to remember to thank someone for their time and help. This tool helps.

Pros

  • Allowing simple categories to choose from.
  • Sending out messages to the team for visibility.
  • Creating a thankful culture.

Cons

  • The ability to thank anyone in the organization.
  • An "Other" category when nothing fits.
  • A reminder system to thank your team members.
  • Culture, I see the team using this tool more often.
  • Engagement, we use this as a means to communicate positive results.
  • I'm not sure if this helps performance or productivity. There are no metrics or KPIs that show this correlation.
The system is straightforward to use. Only a few steps need to be completed to recognize someone for their hard work or contribution. However, a couple of areas need work: 1) A way to request points for recognition. Currently there is no way to do this 2) A way to easily send a recognition to anyone in the company.
I already reach out to team members who help me out or help the team achieve goals (Especially the more challenging goals). This tool provides a way for that recognition to be transparent and show the team our appreciation for one another. This has made it easier.
  • BRAVO!
I have not used any product other than BRAVO! for recognition. Other than that, it has just been 1 1 communication OR during a meeting; we can provide some kudos to different folks. Although public, in-the-moment recognition may not always be received the way we hoped, some folks prefer more indirect recognition.

Workhuman is well suited for creating a team culture that is reliant on feedback and improvement. Team members can see that others are doing well, which may cause others to think positively about their work. Where it may not do well is if the team does not understand the reasoning behind this tool and sees giving recognition as a job requirement.
