We use Workhuman for our employee recognition program, both peer to peer and manager to employee.
  • Great modern recognition software
  • Great website for redeeming award points for gifts
  • Easy of use in recognizing employees from both mobile and web
  • Their customer support could be improved.
Workhuman is well suited for real time recognition for those employees that are more tech savvy.

Workhuman is our rewards management tool. It is being used by the entire company to reward a peer, subordinate or anyone else. Besides giving someone a monetary reward, the tool also has the ability to capture compliments and words of praise. It is a formal platform where you can recognize anyone who has done a good job.
  • We can run reports to determine rewards usage by month, department, and other factors.
  • Instead of maintaining different accounts with many vendors, it is all centralized.
  • Workhuman is a good rewards management system, but it needs to be synced with other HR systems.
  • Since employee data is maintained in 2 systems, there is a lag in obtaining real time information.
Besides rewards management, Workhuman is also useful in managing employee relations. Managers have a written log of thankyou notes, which can be presented as evidence in cases of grievances. The tool has a good list of vendors for employees to choose a variety of gift cards. It is easy to run reports. The interface is not very user friendly and employees need to refer to their training notes to navigate through the system.
The company has an in-house customer support team. They can be reached by email or phone. The response time is good and I do not have anything negative to say about them. The good thing is that the hours of operation are 24/7 so one can reach them anytime with questions about reward management.

Globoforce is used by my organization to help provide managers the opportunity to reward employees with gifts if they go above and beyond the call of duty, as well as writing thank-you notes to those who do exceptional jobs on projects.
  • Globoforce makes the process of rewarding employees who do a great job easy for managers and leaders internationally
  • Globoforce helped me write kind electronic thank-you notes that came through to their inboxes in great, simple formats
  • Globoforce was great in showing clear options on what exactly I could use the eGift Card for from doing a great job on certain projects
  • Globoforce’s user interface was a bit dated - having a sleeker user interface will make it more adopted by many managers
  • Globoforce sometimes only worked in specific internet browsers for me - not sure if this is the case for others in other organizations
  • Globoforce didn’t fill the entire internet browser screen when I used it, making it occasionally difficult to read
Globoforce is good for organizations that are growing and want to be able to keep morale high and also want to allocate a specific budget for each manager to reward their employees who do exceptional jobs on assigned or additionally requested work. It is less appropriate for organizations that are bootstrapped for funds, or already have great methods of rewarding their employees in unique and meaningful ways.
