Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use afi to backup Exchange Online, SharePoint sites and Teams data (chats and documents) for all employees with a 3 years retention policy. We also archive data of employees who left the company for 5 years for compliance reasons. The service provides self-service capability allowing our end-user to handle basic restore and data download operations themself.

1. Data backup for Exchange Online, SharePoint and Teams works very well and reliable. 2. MS Teams support is good, which includes Private channels. 3. Excellent security options ( ransomware detection, encryption keys hosted by us) 4. Self service for end users is a huge time saver for our helpdesk team 5. We kill two birds with one stone with user archiving, compliance and cost savings on MS licenses.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use afi.ai for several departments here in the U.S.--mostly to protect the most important SharePoint data. The tool is quite easy to use and very efficient; recovering several documents takes literally a few seconds. Search is a really good help when you try to find some specific document.

SharePoint online backup for data protection with a self service option and anti-ransomware. afi.ai works great, as all data is protected including MS Lists that you can even preview in the backup tool without restoring. Reporting is very good and transparent; you can integrate it with MS Teams for immediate notifications. Data archiving is included at no additional cost.

Switched to cloud to cloud backup a little more than a year ago. We used on-prem DC and local vendors, like Veritas and Veeam to backup M365. Before the switch we tested more than 5 solutions, and found most of them very slow and lacking on the security side of things, especially bring your own encryption functionality is very rare. With Afi the POC was very smooth and we decided to give it a go.

Works like a charm for 1+ years now for 15k+ users.

We use afi.ai to back up SharePoint and Teams data, as well as to archive Mailbox and Drive for departed employees for compliance purposes. It adds another tool to our toolkit against potential ransomware attack or hardware failure. Self-service recovery is great, as it saves quite some time for our help desk team. We replaced our local system with this cloud service

We are using afi.ai to backup and archive deleted Microsoft 365 users. When an employee leaves the company we backup [their] OneDrive and Exchange mailbox data, and then we can delete the user account from Microsoft 365 domain. In case we need to recover data after an employee departure we use afi backups.

Pros

Archiving of deleted Microsoft 365 users.
Backup of SharePoint lists and OneNote books.
Fast offline export of a mailbox and SharePoint items.

Cons

We'd like to use Onelogin as SSO.

We use afi.ai to back up Microsoft 365 ExchangeOnline, SharePoint Online, and Teams for the whole organization. With COVID-19 and working from home, it became absolutely critical for us to have a secure copy of all data and all communications, as user errors increase tenfold and the number of requests to recover/move data overwhelmed our helpdesk team.

The ease of use, and strength of Microsoft 365's workload backup are the strongest sides of the service. We looked at a few vendors providing Microsoft 365 backup and afi.ai was one of the best in terms of deep technological support for SharePoint and Teams.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use afi.ai to protect O365 email and SharePoint sites for a few regional offices. IT team has admin access to the system (managing backups and executing restores). Regular Office 365 users have access to afi self-service portal that enables them to recover their own data without having to ask the IT guys.

Pros

Data recovery process is very fast.
Offline data export starts immediately, without export link generation & etc.
Self-service for end-users saves a lot of Helpdesk time..

Cons

reporting api could be more granular
Integration with PAX8 is missing

afi.ai is perfect for quick data recovery. It is very easy to find specific email, or chat message in teams that needs recovery. Speed of recovery is very fast. They provide the most detailed support that we know of (we can back up and export Team 1-1 chats, Channels and their attachments).

We use it to protect O365 email, SharePoint and Teams. Started with just a few departments, and rolled it out for 3k users now.

It's a great tool, no management required whatsoever. Data recovery is straightforward and fast. Ai Ransomware detection saved us a few times when endpoint of one of the employees got compromised.

Cons

MS planner and project support is needed.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use afi.ai to backup G Suite Team Drives and Drives in all user accounts across our whole organization. The backups are automated and we can set frequency & retention time by Org Unit. Restore is done either by our IT team or by the end- users via afi.ai self-service portal.

Searching for G Suite items.
Exports of drive files offline.

Cons

Add support and cross-restore to Office 365.

It can be used to backup G Suite domains to the cloud, the cloud storage and the whole service are managed by afi.ai, you only need to set the protection policies and monitor the backup statuses once in a while. We did not have any issues with backups and restores. Search and browsing also work reasonably fast.
