Appnalysis
What is Appnalysis?
Appnalysis — mobile app intelligence for risk and compliance
Appnalysis is a self-service mobile app intelligence platform that analyses published iOS and Android apps from the outside in. Rather than measuring an organisation's own app usage, it examines what any live app actually contains — the SDKs and third-party trackers it embeds, the data-collection and sharing behaviour those introduce, its monetisation model, and its age-rating and privacy exposure. This makes it distinct from usage-analytics and ASO tools: Appnalysis is app intelligence, not app analytics.
Who uses it
Appnalysis is built for legal, privacy, compliance and risk teams — including data protection officers, in-house and advisory counsel, and governance leads — as well as the agencies, consultancies and product teams that support them. It is used across regulated and reputation-sensitive sectors such as banking, fintech, network security and IT services.
What it does
Appnalysis profiles any app or group of competitor apps without the need to install or purchase them, then runs detector algorithms to surface the app's technology stack, tracker footprint, data flows, monetisation approach and metadata or privacy risks. Results are delivered through an AI agent that answers questions in plain English, and can be integrated into existing reporting tools such as Looker Studio, Excel and Power BI via OData.
Why teams choose it
The platform replaces slow, manual app research with fast, evidence-based findings that can be traced back to what was actually detected in an app — supporting due diligence, competitor benchmarking and privacy-risk assessment with defensible evidence rather than estimates.
