Use Cases and Deployment Scope

For our business, gathering user data and making it useful is quite critical. We tried to get a better solution and figured out that there are so many products that can serve the purpose. We decided to choose Countly as it looks new and much easier compared to other complicated platforms.

Pros

  • It helps in understanding the user journey.
  • Customer attributes and persona is also a good feature.
  • Analytics & attribution as well real time user data.

Cons

  • No specific thing in mind. All is good except sometimes the customer service lags a little when you have problems setting up the tool.

Likelihood to Recommend

A very good tool to help understand your users online. Customer attribution is also good. Making reports is also not that bad. I recommend having more widgets and automation tools for an easy process.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I was looking for deeper analytics for my products and Countly allowed me to do just that. More specifically I used it to understand how my users engage with my content, how they engage with my sales page and where, if anywhere I can improve. And then I track the improvements.

Pros

  • Detailed analytics
  • Exploring user behaviour
  • Applying custom events

Cons

  • Lacks some customization features
  • Slow at times
  • Expensive

Likelihood to Recommend

Countly will help you with your customer analytics, and allow you to get a deeper sense of how your customers engage with your content and your products and website overall. But if you’re looking for some customization behind what they can provide, it might not be the most appropriate software for you to use.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use it to check the user behavior in our web page, we wanted to know what where the main interactions of the users and know the flows of the page in an easy way. Learning that we could check and improve everything in our page for a more satisfactory experience.

Pros

  • Analytics
  • Show customer behavior
  • Create events

Cons

  • Web interface
  • Not accesible for some countries
  • Premium is very expensive

Likelihood to Recommend

Is very useful for small business that are starting, that way they can understand the needs of their customers in a small scale and in a simple way. It also works for big companies to focus their attention in certain products. Is not that useful for reviews or art-related themes.

Whether you're planning to include it into a website or a mobile application, this arrangement is simple to implement. The best feature has to be its superb "division," which allows you to delve deeper into your data without using SQL-like queries. On Ubuntu, the free "group version" can act organically aided.

Countly is nice to see all your data in a consolidated space. It is mostly utilized by our web team to track customers across channels. Great for tracking top of the funnel metrics such as CTR, CVR, and event base tracking. If you're looking for an open-source platform, then this might be the platform for you.

Pros

  • Great tool for mobile and web analytics
  • Open source

Affordable, open-source, and a good on-premise option.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Countly was used previously at our company to track conversion rates, click-rates, and simple user-event tracking. We later switched to Mixpanel and Segment for these services but chose Countly as our tracking service at the beginning because it was open-source and was possible to self-host. We used some of the mobile SDKs to also track how our end-users were using our mobile applications.

Pros

  • Open-source and Self-hosted - Countly can be completely self-hosted, which makes it really easy to offset costs of a competing service like Segment or Mixpanel for early-stage companies.
  • A large number of SDKs and platform support - Countly provides fairly comprehensive support for mobile applications and general tracking. As a result, it's pretty easy to create comprehensive tracking of events for any company.
  • Custom queries, access to data - You have instant access to data and extensive customizability which makes this platform fairly easy to use for any purpose of user and market tracking.

Cons

  • Bad UI - The UI is quite outdated and poorly designed, which was one of the principal reasons for us moving away from Countly.
  • Some poor documentation - 3rd-party documentation and tutorials for some of their mobile SDKs are better than Countly's own documentation.
  • Server requirements can be a bit high - For startups with trial credits on cloud computing services, this may not be a problem. Otherwise, Countly can get as expensive as hosted services like Segment and Mixpanel.

Likelihood to Recommend

Countly is wonderful. It mhas affordable options for startups that are experimenting with event and market-tracking services that can't afford more expensive services but do have the cloud credits to operate Countly. For later-stage companies that have the money, but not the time to set up a service like this, a service like Amplitude, Segment, or Mixpanel may be a better alternative.
