  • leading to gaps in the hiring process.

Likelihood to Recommend

Companies doesn't provide More views when compared to other Paid job portals. They always track the usage and restrict the views. Dice TalentSearch specializes in the tech industry, offering a large pool of candidates with relevant technical skills and experience. We dont have much more profiles in Non IT Requirement.

  • Intelli Search does half of the job for you
  • Right filters to narrow down your search.

Cons

  • Intelli Search could use a little bit of polishing
  • Suggesting Boolean search for the job
  • Pointing out the mistake which occured

Likelihood to Recommend

With the most updated contact details, relocation preference, salary need, client need dice make it easiser to reach out the desired candidates. Overall Dice gives the result which makes your recruitment search way more easier.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Dice is the best portal I ever used for the purpose of recruitment. Dice helped me to find the best candidate for the job position on which I worked. I think Dice is the only portal available at this time which helps me to find a candidate for a niche requirement. It helped me to filter irrelevant candidates those are not fit for the job requirements.

I am using Dice from last two years and I have an amazing experience with Dice.

By using the location filter we can easily find the local candidates for the required position.

Pros

  • It helps to filter irrelevant candidates for job requirements.
  • It helps to find local candidates as per job requirements.
  • It helps to find candidate holding specific Visa.
  • It helps to find candidate with particular skills.

Cons

  • I will suggest to remove profile which are updated 3 years ago.
  • There should be some suggestions while entering the keywords for searching.
  • You can increase the numbers of profile per page.

Likelihood to Recommend

Dice is well suited in terms of vast number of database available. Also filter like visa types and job type like temporary fulltime makes it more advance and precise.

Dice is less appropriate in terms of fake updated resume where data is shown outside but when tried to open shows 'Data not available' . Also number of resumes does not consist of phone numbers.

Did not live up to the hype

Rating: 1 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

I am actively recruiting for 2 IT positions at an MSP. I paid Dice for a month-long contract. I received many promises regarding the contract and my postings. I received no applicants to either job and after making some changes suggested to me by my Dice CSR, very little changed and when I mentioned the changes did not work, I only received repetitive support suggestions.

Pros

  • Empty promises.
  • Email communication.
  • Attempting to deflect blame.

Cons

  • Better metrics to support their statements.
  • Updates to prevent repetition with suggested applicants.
  • Job promotion to ensure exposure and actual job applicants.

Likelihood to Recommend

The Dice platform may be better suited for very large companies that have ongoing hiring needs. It did not work well for my company, which has 40 employees and only hiring for 2 positions. It also tends to be more focused toward applicants looking strictly for remote positions. I do not have a disposable budget where I can wait several months for a job post to gain traction across their platform.

DICE is a useful tool for IT Services centric sourcing businesses

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use DICE Open Web (now part of their TalentSearch solution) as our primary tool to find IT resources who meet our client's position requirements. The reason it is a powerful solution is because it brings together DICE's own resume database and merges them with profiles of consultants from other sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, Crunchbase, etc.

Pros

  • DICE does a good job with matching key skills with candidate profiles
  • DICE does a nice job bringing in profiles from other sites such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, etc.
  • DICE does a nice way of presenting the results of a search including information on the consultant's search activity, role interest, salary, location, and travel preference, etc.

Cons

  • It would be great if DICE could somehow filter out "bad" candidate profiles...meaning where candidates put in non-sensical information either by accident or on purpose (e.g., candidates with 1 year of experience listed in their resume asking for 300K annual salary)
  • Similar to the previous item, some candidates have nearly incomplete resumes...I'm assuming the matching works on keyword and if it appears once it pulls it up although the content of the profile overall is very slim.
  • The only other thing I can think of is that DICE's UI is a bit dated, but overall it works.

Likelihood to Recommend

DICE Open Web works well when you want to find IT specific candidates that are available in your local area. What I particularly like is that if you post a job, Dice Open Web/Talent Search will return potential candidates that meet your requirements. It is a proactive way they provide candidates from what you could do manually using their IntelliSearch tool to find candidates. I find that DICE is overall much more effective when you have a job to post and the candidates apply rather than doing a blind search. There are too many factors that make candidates returned by DICE Open Web not necessarily interested in your position. When candidates apply they have shown interest and then you can apply the Screener tool to help narrow the pool.

Dice Open Web is our Go To Sourcing Tool :)

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Used by the recruiting deparment, including recruiters, a coordinator, a hands on manager and myself. I'm in the process of best practice staffing strategic planning and Dice Open Web is one [of] my top tools to creatively source and locate candidates for our work. We're a small government consulting organization and as the employer it's important we have the right tools to get the job done.

Pros

  • Flexibility to be creative, i.e. can do both boolean searches as well as use intelligence searches.
  • Posting jobs is easy to do and manage.
  • Customer support is at a very high level, with a personal touch, (this is very rare and very much appreciated)!

Cons

  • Keep up the Great Work - Love the Customer Service

Likelihood to Recommend

The flexiabiity and creative searching options as well as Awesome Customer Service!!!

Dice Open Web - good recruitment tool not only for external candidates but internal openings as well

Rating: 8 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Dice Open Web is used internally by our team to find the best resources available within the company to be recruited by our department and moreover by our team. we send out alerts to our team members for any openings and also ask them to refer external candidates on Dice Open Web. It has been helpful to us to get profiles of candidates who match the required job skills for open positions in our teams and similarly other departments and teams in the company use Dice Open Web for fulfilling their resourcing skills.

Pros

  • easy to use - web interface is very user friendly
  • easy to customize email templates
  • easy to set notifications and alerts for applicants or for job listings by other teams
  • easy to find same type of jobs across teams in one place
  • ability to turn off when you're no more looking for a job

Cons

  • the UI is not so interactive and monotonous despite being easy to use
  • the application Dice Open Web could become little intuitive and direct the job posters or seekers from external groups to right pages
  • job skill set and roles and responsibilities section can be made more savvy by putting in some help sections on describing each bullet point through examples

Likelihood to Recommend

Dice Open Web is used internally by our teams for finding the right resources to fill open positions or also get external referrals from the employees group. grouping of jobs is a good feature and job seekers or job posters can go by their skill groups and see all the open positions. last filled positions are also having the kind of skills that met and filled the opening - which i think is an awesome feature to help candidates what was posted as needed skillset and what fulfilled the opening.

Promising marketing and value proposition, but unfortunately fell short in the end.

Rating: 5 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Dice Open Web was mostly used by the human resources department, specifically talent acquisition and talent management. Certain leaders and managers also used it from product development and engineering departments for networking purposes and connections. The main business objective it addressed was recruiting, sourcing, and proactively making connections with professionals in the local business community and across the country when able to do so.

Pros

  • Dice Open Web was able to gather information on candidates, contacts, employees, etc. from different sources and allocating it into one place which made organization easier.
  • Consolidating data and information into one main hub made it easier to get consistent information and reduced the need to visit multiple sites or search other boards and social media platforms.
  • It provided some valuable information about a person's background and education and skills to determine if there was a potential fit for a particular role.

Cons

  • Dice Open Web seemed to not be able to keep up with other platforms and some features and functionality were either missing or quickly became obsolete.
  • It doesn't really seem to remain competitive on the landscape and feel behind in product release and feature updates.
  • Some information was outdated and didn't get regularly refreshed or updated it seemed. Just kind of churning the same information as before or the lack of reach was evident over time.

Likelihood to Recommend

This platform is probably more suited for small to mid-size companies that may not have super specific roles and requirements. Organizations also that may not have a large budget for these types of programs also could be a good fit as it does offer some value, but probably falls behind in the cutting edge and super competitive landscape for platforms or organizations. It's probably less appropriate for large companies or places that are investing in current and cutting edge technology or products.

Solid sourcing platform

Rating: 7 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are a staffing agency so of course, we utilize as many sourcing tools as possible and I have used Dice at both of my previous agencies as well. If you need quick ready to work candidates then Dice is your platform! Every candidate I encounter on Dice is ready to work and get their name out there.

Pros

  • Outline candidate strengths.
  • Well laid out UI.
  • Plenty of filters and options to source.

Cons

  • Colors of the UI are a bit off-putting and hard on the eyes.
  • Some of the candidates on there seem to be not real or manufactured by the sight of fishing websites.

Likelihood to Recommend

For any contract hiring Dice is a must you can find very good consultants and talent on the platform that will fit your job needs perfectly. Most of them have salary info on their profile which makes it super easy! For permanent hiring, it can be a bit of a challenge but still, you should be able to get worthwhile candidates.

Review for Dice

Rating: 9 out of 10

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

Dice is one of the best job board/softwares we use, it has many useful features. I have been using the Dice job board for the last 9+ years and have been able to close many positions which include many niche skills which is rarely available in the market or on other job boards. Dice has a very large database when it comes to the IT industry. It has many useful features in the advance search option like visa segregation/employment types/educational details and recently active candidates, etc. which will help us to search relevant candidates as per the client's needs.

Pros

  • Dice has a very large database when it comes to the IT industry.
  • The resume database is really strong with many niche skills that are rarely available in the market or on other job boards.
  • It has many useful features in the advance search option which helps us to search relevant candidates as per the client's need.

Cons

  • The recent update is not highlighting most of the keywords which is really annoying.
  • I feel the UI should be more improved.
  • Sometimes we see lots of resumes with lots of manipulated details and fake experience to get the attention.
  • Sometimes most of the resumes don’t have contact details and it's difficult to get in touch with candidates.

Likelihood to Recommend

We have closed lots of niche skill positions through Dice. The skills like data governance/stibo step/actimize developer, etc. Very few profiles are available in the market. However, we managed to close such positions through Dice Sometimes we see lots of fake profiles with wrong information provided which is really annoying and leads us to damage our reputation in front of our clients. Also, we see lots of profiles without proper information and because of that we lose our resume view.
