Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We are using Druva Security Cloud to backup about 25 virtual and physical servers in a K-12 organization with around 4000 students. The virtual servers are located on two Hyper-V hosts. The Druva system gives us reliable and centralized backups without the need for on-premise backup hardware. We have a small team to it's been great to have an easy to manage system.

Pros

It was quite easy to setup the Hyper-V agents and get the initial backups going.
The admin user interface is well done and I can find most of what I need very easily.
The reporting is helpful and can notify users with a basic summary or detailed information on what was backed up.

Cons

We originally were using VMware hosts and we had some stability issues with the backup proxy. Support was able to help work through it but cost some hours.
We found there were lots of reports available but they weren't the best looking reports and could use more customizability.

Return on Investment

We previously had an on-premise Dell system and I have spent a fraction of the time managing the Druva Security Cloud.
The Druva Security Cloud is also less expensive than the Dell system we were previously using.
Since the Druva Cloud is online and our backups are immutable I feel much better about security than I did about our old on-premise system.

Use Cases and Deployment Scope

We use Druva for backup up Office 365 items such as email, OneDrive, etc. for all of our users. The problems Druva addresses are both accidental and intentional deletion of data from our users or departed staff. The scope of our use case is organization-wide, so all users are protected from data loss in their Office 365 account.

Pros

Ensuring user's data is backed up with snapshots
Prompt and clear assistance from Druva support
Ease of access into the web portal
Providing a view into a snapshot without having to restore it first

Cons

The UI could be a little more clear.
The SSO setup was a little confusing.
The ticket creation procedure could be a little simpler.

Ease of mind knowing our user's Office 365 data is backed up
Additional protection against accidental deletion of mailbox items
A means for remedial action after a malicious incident that deletes or encrypts user's data

We've used Druva extensively for data backup for all user workstations. Data backup is extremely efficient and not noticeable to the user at all, and any kind of data restoration is extremely easy and the user can recover from any type of worst case scenario. Backup settings are very customizable to fit any situation that you may need

Druva is playing a very crucial role in my organization for end-user data and mailbox backup as well. It helps multiple times to recover data for past days for critical files and legal terms. We have been using the same for the last 5 years and now added OneDrive as well to our backup solution. We are trying to integrate the cloud solution with Druva for preserved users' data to grant access to their reporting manager or colleagues.

File deletion by user can be restore by him without intervention from the technical team
Auto backup and alert mechanism.
The preserved user feature is the best feature to identify the inactive users.
